I have ideas:

If the Pokemon is Heatran: Pokemon Garnet
If the Pokemon is Darkrai: Pokemon Diabase
If the Pokemon is Cresselia: Pokemon Amethyst
If the Pokemon is Giratina: Pokemon Topaz

what if the pokemon is shaymin? or regigigas? or even arceus? what'll you do then?

I like the whole gem idea, they have been doing, I think the next gen games should be, Amathest and Opal. Amathest whould be a purpleish blue case, and Opal a Greenish Blue Case

Yea you have got a point there going back to the basics, doese make sence since diamond realy is the cream of the crop. Like some people said in earlier posts I think Pokemon Midnight , or Sunset sounds great!

Why would it be Pokémon Topaz when Giratina's gem is girasol, also known as a fire opal? Opal > topaz any day.

They already have Pokemon Diamond (which was also a terrible hacked version of a GBC game) so they really need to release a legit version of Pokemon Jade.

^^' It is? ... I always though that Giratina's gem was the Topaz. <~ Also, Girasol wouldn't be a good name. Everybody will ask earch other " What's a Girasol? ". But, if they change that to Opal, I wouldn't see a problem. <~

To be honest, I'm not sure there will be any Pokémon games continuing the series on the GBA/DS but I would like to see more variety of other games. EG: The Wii games, that sort of thing.

But that would be a good hack. Let's say you have 2 Rivals of the same gender as you are, and they can be Masato or Shuji? And maybe even the Legendaries might have a Phi, Chi, and Delta motif, while the mascots are Alpha, Beta, and Omega-based legendaries! There might even be an option to henshin too!

Seem to be a lot of ideas floating around for ideas of what the next gen games'll be called. Two 'dream' versions I came up with a couple years ago were called Copper and Platinum and the Pokemon that graced the boxes were my Dragonite-rank wolf Fakemon, Metalupus and Canersia. Now, I think it'd be cool to see the next gens be called Pluto and Jupiter with the theme Pokemon being a legendary fighting type based on either Hercules or Perseus and a legendary ghost and fire one based on Cerberus. Those are just ones I think'd be cool to see.

I mean they came out with Diamond, which is one of the more well known Pokemon hacks, so why not come out with it's counterpart, Jade. Heck! Arceus could be the Pokemon on the box cover as well.
