Nickname change

Hi, I put in a request for a nickname change a couple weeks ago and I haven't heard back from Niantic about that since then. I know they said that it could take several weeks to process this, but I'm wondering if I should keep waiting or just make a new account and get it over with?

I've heard rumours that name changes will eventually be implemented but I don't have any proof at all so take it with a huge pinch of salt. If your nickname is a huge deal to you and you haven't made too much progress then I would say just make a new account now and get it over with, but otherwise I would suggest just waiting and putting up with a non-ideal name for the time being until either they reply or name changes become a thing.
