    I was just wondering who have nicnamed there pokemon and if so what's there names. I named my Torterra Jr. And my staraptor

    I never nickname mine anymore. Firstly because it's annoying for people if I trade with them to have different names, even more if they don't like them lol. And plus, there's so many new pokemon nowadays that it's a hell of a lot easier to remember them all if they don't have nicknames.
     
    I nicknamed my contest Azurill Azuzu. It foolk wierd to me when all the other pokes have Nicks and mine doesnt.
     
    GALLADE became Erlade.
    GARDEVOIR became Sirnight.
    EMPOLEON became Emperte.

    Yeah, you can see where this is going. Japanese names, in proper caps. I respect the original content, and I'm a stickler for grammar. <.<;;
     
    I usually nickname the Pokémon that I use in my party. This time, I haven't really done it though, save for a few select Pokémon. o_o

    Piplup -> Pochama (I hate its English name XD)
    Pikachu -> Lightning (I always have a Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu named Lightning in EVERY game)
    Cherrim -> Marluxia (It...fits the KH character SO well. XDD)

    Everything else I did nickname, but I only put its name into normal form, instead of all-caps, since that bothers me.
     
    Ummm, my Monferno's nickname is Cruentus. My Staravia's Hiyori. And my Luxio's Laxia. I know, pretty lame...
     
    I nickname most of my Pokemon. When I trade Pokemon, they'll keep the nicknames if they were Legends. Perhaps it's annoying, but it's a way of remembering who caught them. Besides, I give my Pokemon very...odd...usually mythic nicknames.

    Examples:

    Palkia-"Samudra"-The Sanskrit term for the "Celestial Ocean".
    Umbreon-"Keku"-The Egyptian God of Darkness, Night and Obscurity
    Luxray-"Taranisia"-From "Taranis", Celtic God of Thunder
    Empoleon-"Llyr"- (Welsh spelling)Celtic God of the Sea, father of Mannanan Mac Lir
    Blaziken-"Asphyrix"-A fire-bird
    Groudon-"Gaia"-Greek Goddess of Earth and Land
    Glaceon-"Telephassa"-Queen of Tyre, daughter of the Nile, mother of Europa
    Regigigas-"Rava"-Being the man who created a Golem using the Sefer Yetzirah
    Regice-"Xanthippe"-Shrewish wife of Socrates. Also the name of a mythic Golem.
    Registeel-"Sefer"-From Sefer Yetzirah, the Book of Creation.
    Regirock-"Yetzirah"-From Sefer Yetzirah, the Book of Creation.
    Azelf-"Entelechia"-From "entelecheia", term used by Aristotle to describe a being actively striving to be itself. The will to exist.
    Mesprit-"Plutchik"-From "Robert Plutchik" who studied feelings and emotions
    Uxie-"Episteme"-Greek for "knowledge" or "science"
    Cresselia-"Anumati"-Sanskrit for "Divine Favor", a lunar goddess of wealth and spirituality

    And some Pokes I don't name at all, or I give them sensible names ("Aileen" "Sakura" "Tamney" etc)

    Impressive is one word for it. XD Everyone else tells me it's just sad. 'Specially since the evolution chain has pretty awful defence to be really useful. But...Pichu is my favourite Pokémon so it can't be helped. :B
     
    the only time I have nickname my pokemon is in the silver and gold game when they frist came out
     
    I usually only nickname my favorite pokemon in the game, and this one is...

    Pachirisu = Pachi

    I know its the last imaginative name EVER but hey, I like it XD
     
    I don't bother nicknameing the pokemon that arn't going to be in my main team. The five that are cuirrently's nicknames are in my signature, but I'll list them here anyway.
    Pikachu- Jiro (Japence, Means Second Male, Second Male pokemon caught)
    Luxray- Miro ( Made it up. xD Ment to be Jiro's playmate, so I made the names similar.)
    Eevee- Ly-Ly ( It most likly means something in Chinece, but I dunno what it is. xD I just thought it sounded pretty)
    Vulpix- Chase ( I dunno. I like the name.)
    Wartorle- Sal. ( At the time that I caught him, I was listening to Danceing with tears in my eyes, I looked for water, I conencted tears to salt water, and took the Salt and cut off the T. Before I relised Sal is a real name. xD)

    Don't you mean "hatched"? ;)

    As for nicknames...I don't use them. It's easier to just go by the Pokemon name. If I nickname, then it'll be to change the Pokemon name to lowercase (in the case of unevolved ones, the name of their final form) to fit the rest of the text.

    I did consider for a minute or so using my old GSC trick of nicknaming each and every one of my team's Pokemon a variation of "Magikarp", though...just for kicks. Didn't.

    I've been nicknaming my pokemon since Blue version... Go Beachball the Blastoise rawr. *uncreative loser* Some of my D/P pokemon team nicknames are:
    Infernape: Charlie (Uhh... I like this guy name o.o)
    Staraptor: Stella (Both to do with stars lol)
    Luxray: Shadow (Knew dark moves... Uhh)
    West Gastrodon: Sandra (Not sure... sand for ground type? lol i just like this name for a girlie pokemon)
    Cresselia Chrys (Short for the flower name Chrysanthemum)
    Latias: Lilac (Gotta love flowers ^^;)
    Flareon: Faith (Got her from the Celadon person and she was female on first try so she's lucky ^^)
    Lugia: Angel (It's shiny and I was very lucky to actually get it and it's my prized possesion so I named it after my virtual pet that got deleted and she was red/white)
    Blastoise: Blue (Well that was lame ;D)
    Manaphy: Marina (Water theme)
    Kricketune: Kyle (I like some guy named Kyle... And he bugs me XD)
    Skarmory: Skyler (Sky pun thingy...)
    Espeon: Espio (Espionage ftw XD)
    Mesprit: Melody (In the first new D/P episode, Mesprit makes a really nice sound/tune...)
    Giratina: Twilight (The awesomest pokemon... Dark theme)
    And a lot more corny names but I like my pokemon. ^^
     
    I named my Garchomp Kamutsu my Lucario Yokai And my gyarados mizutaki and azelf ishiko
     
    I nickname ever pokemon I catch, excluding Dittos because I catch one for each nature. Here are the names of my main team and legends.

    Empoleon (M) - Royal (simple)
    Staraptor (F) - Star (very simple)
    Roserade (M) - Rosearedo (sounds cool, pronounced: Rose-a-re-dow)
    Rampardos (M) - Smash (very, very simple; he smashes stuff)
    Gengar (M) - Phantom (simple; he is a phantom)
    Steelix (F) - Armoria (Armor + ria)

    Uxie - Wisdom (simple)
    Mesprit - Feeling (simple)
    Azelf - Resolve (determination)
    My Dialga and Palkia are from GTS, long story, so no nicknames
    Heatran (M) - Lavano (Lava + Volcano)
    Giratina - Thantos (a Greek god of death; serves under Hades)
    Creesselia - Luna (the name of Earth's moon)
     
    Dragonite ~ Aeterna (latin for "eternal")
    Infernape ~ Wildfire (self-explanatory, just thought "monkey=wild" and went from there)
    Luxray ~ Cobolt (Cobalt being a shade of blue, bolt being...yea)
    Cherrim ~ Haromoni (in relation to Japanese, it's how one would say "Hello Morning", as well as sounding somewhat like "harmony", so I thought that would fit with Cherrim's unique trait [and if you know what "Hello! Morning" is, kudos to you lol])
    Milotic ~ Aquadust (thought it sounded nice...I dunno)
    Starmie ~ Stardust (same as above)
    Charizard ~ Volcanix ("the 'x' makes it sound cool")
    Blastoise ~ Cascadence (cascade=waterfall, cadence=rhythmic sound)
    Gallade ~ Mirager (can't remember why)
    Gardevoir ~ Elegrace (elegance + grace)
    Mismagius ~ Mana (it's a witch)
    Marowak ~ Tremor (my ground-related terminology is weak)

    That's all I can remember right now. I only name the ones I hope to use in some way, so I don't trade them to anyone with names. All the names I chose are basically words/terms that I'm using in a little story...thing...I'm in the process of writing. x_x
