[Spoilers] Nimbasa Arc

Since Nimbasa City is the second largest city first being Castelia I am curious as too how long they will be there and what they will be doing there while they are there.

In Castelia we had 5 episodes either in the city or the surrounding area 2 yet to have an air date set and one being aired this week.

I figure we will have at least 6 episodes in Nimbasa, but I get the feeling they will be spending a bit more time there then 6 episodes.

BW040 - This is is in Nimbasa if I recall correctly, this is where they meet Luke.

BW041-045 - These we have at least 4 episodes focusing on the tournament, and one maybe partially focusing on the tournament and the rest focusing on the TR Rocket break up and firing up Meowth.

I figure they will have around 3-5 more episodes in Nimbasa and Bianca being with them for most of it. Outside of the Gym match which is a given, they have stuff like the Musicals they could introduce, Battle Subway, Battle Stadium(which I kind out doubt they will showcase since we have a tournament), and the Amusement Park right next to the gym, maybe in the amusement park a Team Plasma event will occur and we finally get to see N. Then I think they may meet up with Elesa again to get access to the Draw Bridge on Route 5.

So what do you think we will see out of Nimbasa? Maybe some evolutions, captures, Plasma/N encounter, some new rivals, introduction to new things like Musicals and Battle Subway?

Well, I was upset they didn't spend as much time as I had hoped in Castelia, mainly because it's just so big, though I wouldn't be suprised if they went back for some sort of reason. I just hope a few episodes in Nimbasa should make up for it.

We've already got the Don battle tournament taking up four episodes, then we've got the gym battle. Plus there are loads of places they can base some episodes on, including the sports stadiums, pokémon musicals, Bel and her father's relationship (Perfect way to introduce Elesa), oh - there's also the ferris wheel, which would be perfect for introducing N.

There's so much potential for Nimbasa really. I wouldn't be suprised if we did get a lot of time spent there, as after Castelia they animes gone back off that quick pace if you ask me.

After the 4-episode tournament, I can see the Nimbasa gym battle happening, followed up by Ash and co. meeting N and Team Plasma.

Yeah I am kind of eager to get the gym battle underway since by the time the tournament ends we will be 20 episodes since the last gym match, but that really isn't that long of a wait.

Yeah but was there really a whole lot to do in Castelia in the game? Outside of battle Burgh and save Bianca pokemon from Team Plasma. They probably could have did a filler with a battling office worker but other then that I don't see anything worth while that would happen there. They could have did a thing with the Royal Unova, but that really wasn't utilized much in game either since unlike St. Anne it didn't have battlers there. Unity Tower there isn't really much to do there either, and there would be no point to do anything at Liberty Garden right before the movie. Yeah I am interested to see if they work Bianca dad in like they did in the game which is where you met Elesa at. And yes if they do spend a lot of time in Nimbasa I don't see a a long interval between there and Driftveil. Once they make it past Route 5 they are at the Drawbridge they are in Driftveil probably meeting Clay then bam Ash has got himself another gym match, which makes me inclined to believe they shouldn't rush this Arc.

I hope to expect a long duration in Nimbasa since there's so much to explore and to really introduce as well. We haven't had word about the Pokemon Musical (which I thought was going to play a big part in this region, but seriously, i do miss Pokemon Contests a little.) and there's the Pokemon Stadium and the Amusement Park, N, Team Plasma, Elsea etc etc. I just want it all to happen and make sure they don't rush things because it's awesome they've changed the gears on the series but we still want it to be quality xD

Ah, I just hope that we get to see Ash's first encounter a baddie team since Team Rocket has been kind of MIA from Ash's journey. (I wonder if he thinks about them. xD) but yes, N & Team Plasma need to make a big appearance.

I guess either Palpitoal or Dangoro will evolve(Like Sewaddle in Castelia).If Ash's as dumb as he was before(In Striaton he used bad typed mons),Oshawott and Tranquill might evolve

I bet we see the Pokemon Musicals, since Bianca's with them, it looks like something Cilan will want to do, and Ash will join for the fun of it, maybe we'll see Bianca's father? Since it's Nimbasa which he makes an appearance, as well as Elesa's first appearance, I'm looking forward to this small arc! :3

He hasn't even been shown since his capture in BW035, if they did evolve him to Seismitoad this early it would seem like a repeat of Krabby. Roggenrola has actually be used in every episode since it's capture, still would like to see more out of it before it evolves. All the new captures need some development which doesn't really need to consist of evolutions. Ash has used disadvantage match ups in the past regions so nothing new there and won't be surprised to see it again this region(although I don't see him using Tranquill against Elesa... Maybe Oshawott since it went up against Kenyan Blitze and held it own, but I don't feel it needs any more development at this point.) I can see Oshawott evolving since it seems to be the star of Unova, even though people are worry about it losing it's personality I think the writers can be creative enough to either maintain some of that with Dewott or give it another unique personality. Tranquill no way do I see it evolving in this arc, I would say maybe around Mistralton City for the Flying Gym but not now seems way too soon.

I see Oshawott as this region's Chikorita. I really think it might be evolved but perhaps it's a little too soon for him to. I think Tepig or Snivy will evolve before he does. Certainly not Nimbasa. I just think it's just too soon for them. I could obviously be wrong xD

If Oshawott is this region Chikorita then wouldn't he be more inclined to evolve before Tepig and Snivy since Chikorita evolved before it's to counterparts Totodile and Cyndaquil. I agree I don't feel it should be in Nimbasa.

We need to see some developement from his rotational parts Tranquill and Swadloon, then give the new additions Palpitoad and Roggenrola some battles since went haven't see either in battle outside of when they were captured. Scraggy needs to add some moves to it's repertory. I would like to see Palpitoad get at least one match in the Tour so we could see how he does before Elesa since I think he will be in the Gym Battle with her. Swadloon I hope gets some battles but I don't want to see an evolution now I want to see an episode where it fully bonds with Ash and evolves due to Happiness(not to say it can't do that through a Tournament battle). If we get a confrontation with Plasma then there is even more development for his pokes which I hope is the case.

I argee with you there. I would wether see Ash bond with pokemon instead of evolution.

I am thinking there will be 6 to 9 total.
3 to 4 being the tournement.
1 or 2 being the gym battle
1 at least being the N/Plasma thing.
and then maybe a few fillers of them just...hanging out there.

I am sad that they completely skipped the desert unless it was in 1 of the episodes that hasn't been shown. They could have had at least 1 or 2 there. I don't remember reading anything about the desert.


I am pretty sure we will see both Palpitoad and Roggenrola in Nimbasa gym battle.


There will probably only be 2 or 3 episodes between 4th and 5th gym towns. One meeting Alder,1 maybe meeting Cheren and then another maybe Ash catching another pokemon. So ya,they need to take their time because there isn't much between the next few towns.

The only filler like thing I heard of was something with Elesa and Cilan involving Klink and Garbodor. But that was some time ago and their wasn't much validity to that rumor.

I am pretty sure they showed the Desert in Rocket vs. Plasma episodes. And when they did Pokemon Livecaster they showed Krokorok in the desert in the episode we have not seen. Not to mention they showed some ruins. They could always go back to Desert Resort after Brycen like they did in the game but I kind of doubt that.

I get the feeling it's going to be those two along with Snivy.

I dunno about a 2-3 episode gap that seems rushing it a bit since they have Route 5 and Cold Storage to deal with. Personally I don't see the need to introduce Cheren, Bianca is enough imo. And Ash catching another pokemon? I'm not seeing it this soon. They may be able to fit in a filler episode for cooking or something since that trailer is right there. I presume think they will show Alder since that is where we first met him in the game. And maybe Alder vs. Trip or another Ash vs. Trip.

I agree. Let Ash take care of serious business first and followed by sidequest (such as Team Plasma, the amusement Park, Pokemon Musical etc.). I just hope that Ash and crew takes advantage of all of the wonderful things Nimbasa City has to offer them.

If they found a way to squeeze in a battle subway episode, they'd have all of my love. Otherwise I'm just excited for meeting Elesa and the amusement park. I'm ecstatic enough at the fact Nimbasa gets its own arc anyway.
