Right, but if you lose your memory card that ones thing, then your game disk, thats another.

Its easier to have a cart-based games with less loading. And the cartidge is designed to hold all the memory you'll need.
How exactly do you expect to lose your game disc and memory card? Irresponsibility is the only reason.
Irresponsibility can also cause you to lose your PSP or DS, itself.

and like I said, I am willing to take the extra two seconds loading time, to play a game that is next-gen quality.

And memory cards are designed to hold all the memory you'll need.

DS has a limit of gamesaves, while PSP has no limit.

Everything you listed WAS lies or just your opinion.

Memory cards are not unlimited. Nowhere near unlimited. I am out of space on ym PS2 one and have no money to buy a new one so guess what? I can't save my games now. Lucky me.

If the save games are on the cartridge you don't have to worry about paying extra or anything to just save.

Excuse me!?
-Loading times are extremely short, I can wait an extra two seconds to play games that are next-gen quality.
HOW THE DUECE DO YOU KNOW THAT? The PSP isn't out yet. If you are so certain on this I will hand over your IP to the FBI and Sony for stealing a PSP prototype. Oh and don't say that it loaded well at E3 or anything since they make the things look better at shows and stuff then what the actual is like. Oh and if I know Sony, the load times will be very long. :/ So many PS2 games that I have palyed that take 30 minutes (with a 5-7 minute opening cutscene) to start playing the first level. And don't say it is the game maker's fault because I have played the X-Box/Gamecube versions of such games (if there were any) and they laod about 5 times faster.

MEMORY CARDS ARE UNLIMITED.
IF YOU RUN OUT OF SPACE YOU BUY A NEW ONE. YOU CANT DO THAT WITH A CARTRIGE.
New memory cards are $20.

About loading times:
If you can all complain that loading times are really long.
Why can't I say that they are short? Think about that. Why didn't you flame somebody else for saying that it has a long load time?

I'm basing loading times upon Sony's past creations, and the loading times ARE USUALLY FASTER than Xbox and GCN.

If loading time is slower on PS2, Its because of your settings. When the menu that says 'Browser' and 'System Configuration' is up, you press Triangle, then go to Playstation Driver. Press Triangle again. Then there is a new menu that says 'Load speed' and 'Texture mapping'. You go to load speed and choose FAST.

Nintendo making better games is purely your opinion, take your opinion somewhere else.

-The Prices are estimates.

All were just your opinions or just flat out lies
Britteny, that's what this thread if for. We're starting to lose track. This is about the DS. Not a discussion about which is better. You're all being as dumb as you think the other is. Go about your lives, buy what console you want and move on. I'm sure both the consoles will be great and in the end of it all, we'll be happy.

That's a really high estimate.

Again, this is a forum. You have to expect these things they call "opinions." You also have no proof that what they said was a lie. You can't even really back up what you're saying. Don't reply to that.

For those who want to show their dedication, I don't mind if you use the supporter images in my sig for your sigs if you like. Go ahead, Photobucket won't mind.

I agree with shadow about the loading stuff, but I still plan on purchasing both systems, there is no reason to argue, each system will have its advantages and disadvantages, the only way to know which is better is to wait and see once they come out. Also, fyi, portable gaming is the way its going to be in the future, peoples lives are becomming more and more hectic, its alot easier to pull out a gameboy and play it while your on the bus or subway etc., than it is to have to go home and play it on your television, so portable is the future. Which company will dominate? We dont know yet, who knows, microsoft could come up with some insane portable system that would be better than both of them. (I doubt it but ya never know) In the long run, people buy systems to have fun, whichever company provides the most fun factor to the people will win, its as simple as that.

Thank you for the sig thingys.
Hey I didn't start this mess. I said I want PSP and I listed the reasons why I wanted it.
Then people kept telling me I'm wrong and DS is better and blah blah blah.
Then some people give me false reasons why DS is better, and thats when I got really ticked-off.

I just don't like it when someone feeds me BS of why their opinion is better than mine.

You guys stop flaming...and just because you don't agree with someones opinion doesn't mean you can't respect. Geez Brittany...your the kind of person I've been yappin about thats been messin up PC with immaturity.

And to Brittany-

~Memory cards aren't unlimited. Where on earth did you get the idea that they were. Every time one runs out you have to go and by a new one. And honestly, a catridge usually can support 3 or 4 games, which is more than enough for me.

~About loading times. If it's not a catridge or box, there will be loading times, period. Meaning that lag and load times on PSP will be that like on PS2. Some games will have very small lag and load times, while some will have so much it'll make you pull your hair out.

~And Sony maybe the leader in hardware, but PS2 is in LAST as far as hardware goes. It runs much slower than X-Box and Gamecube, and I have a feeling so will PSP.

This brittany person has been flaming the ds nintendo series all around no one needs to know what you think just keep it to yourself heh this is a ds thread if you don't like ds don't post

Hey fudge01(packer), shut up.
Really.
This is a NDS thread, not a flame PSP thread. Get over yourself
You're obnoxious, irritating, and typically male.
Your double standards suck, and your IQ matches your shoe size.
Please don't come back.

Look, both systems are great but look- Wow, PSP has Metal Gear on it! PSP is having a remake of Spiderman! It alredy came out, there is no point for that. all of the other games that were previewed were crap. Gran Turismo sucks, and all of those crappy games are gonna have nobody buying them! DS is going to have games I trust that I will like, Like Metroid Prime Hunters. Ooooh, it is going to be played with a stylus! Nintendo said they will fix that, and they would not realease it with a weak screen. Plus, the two screens will help you when playing RPG games and Stratagy. Square-Enix said they were not certain about making games on the PSP, and with the DS having two screens, they are going to have to realease a FF game on it. Capcom makes games for the PS2 more than Gamecube so they are gonna make more games on PSP? hah. Why do you think the Megaman Zero series are bieng made on GBA? PSP has music and MP3 and stuff like that, but in GAMING it does not have a very good show of games. DS is probly going to have not only all of those first party games they showed at E3, but they are probly going to have more favorites like Zelda. also, just so you know, Capcom has teamed up with nintendo to make GBA Zelda games.

*tries not to laugh but can't help it*

typically male, lol

And yeah, fudge01 you really need to think before you talk. This thread is open to any opinions of ANY kind, but we don't allow flaming. If someone has an opinion, they are encouraged to give it. Now if someone has a SPAMMY, flaming, pointless post (which is basically what all your posts and a few of brittany's posts have been) then they are encouraged to shut up quickly.

This thread has been turned into a PSP vs NDS thread so were gonna keep it that way. Geez

Having a post saying "Nintendo rules...PSP sucks...fin" is just the dumbest thing ANYONE can say. I love nintendo, but I wouldn't sink so low as to spam.

Just think about what you guys say before you say it

It would suck if I had to close this...

No this would be my first thread closed. XD

TO brittany: Right, Memory cards offer an amount of space. In a cart you can save as much as you need, no extra monies for memory cards. It's simple.

Wow, this has turned into a flame thread. I would get a DS simply for the first party games! Nintendo has all the franchises I know and love, whereas Sony...er.....what games do they make again? XP I really don't use Sony systems that much, so admittably I'm not an expert on them, but the PSP might be streching itself thin, has anyone thought of that? I mean, look at the N-Gage! I seriously thought that it would be the awesomest portable system with all the EXTRAS it had. *cough* mp3 player*cough* When I want to play a game, I WANT A GAMING SYSYTEM! I don't want to have a slow peice of junk THAT'S CLUTTERED WITH STUFF I DON'T WANT! I realize that mp3 player would be nice, but I'd rather have a company that focused on MY GAMING NEEDS not what other things they can throw in.
Now, you PSP supporters will come back that you want movies, mp3's and whatnot, but I'M NOT A TECH JUNKIE! I'M A GAMER AND I WANT A PURE GAMING SYSTEM!

Wow, longest post i've probably made on PC.....

exatly my point! PSP has all of therse extras, but in GAMING, it is nothing compared to the DS. Here are the standout games for PSP- Metal gear Ac!d, Gran Turismo 3 (which sucks, there is no diff. in all of the racing games exept cars and graphics) and Spiderman( The first one, nobody buying that!) Here are DS's standout games-Mario 64x4, Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Bros DS, and now the games we know and love that are 100% gonna be on there, Zelda and Pokemon. and we can expect alot of others too. ONE good game on PSP, Many on DS. point made.

There we go! Nintendo has allways said that is about GAMING not all the extras...

Well, when it comes to the name creativity, Nintendo is at a stump, so the Nintendo DS will no longer be just a project name but it's official name.

I think it looks great -- very sleek. It's nice to hear that the buttons have been retooled a bit, and the whole package sounds promising. The lack of analog control kinda sucks, but it's not a huge deal. On the PS2 and Xbox, I mainly play with the D-Pad anyway.

At least it looks niftier than at E3.

Yeah. Oh the link is messed up, all the came up was "we could not find the page you were looking for" And a Ebay ad that said " Buy Nintendo DS at Ebay now!" lol
