    Check out this website:

    https://www.animationmagazine.net/article/11120

This confirms that there will be new Pokemon, ad the game will be totally revamped.

This includes more features and functions.

So I'm sure we can expect a lot frrm this game.

In my experiences, whenever a game company revamps a game that is already fine in its own right, they ruin it. Revamp usually is a codeword for ruin.

But they say "New Pokemon" so that means it has to be a whole new region. And you can't ruin something that hasn't already been made yet.

And if I'm wrong, if you've seen HeartGold and SoulSilver, you can see yhey made a great game even better.

    So I'm not worried.

It wouldn't surprise me if they added features you could influence during Battle. Such as a wheel of chance you can influence with your touch screen to increase the amount of hits for attacks like doubleslap.

I don't think I really trust this site... Yeah, I don't trust it.

Also, Johto->Hoenn could count as a reboot. What I'm saying is that only saying the term "reboot" is pretty vague. What exactly are they rebooting?

Well, obviously whoever posted this site knows scarcely anything about Pokémon...I mean, they refer to Pokémon as "monsters," and give little to no information on anything. New gameplay functions? What are they? On the Nintendo DS platform? Really?

I dont mind the reboot, it will be like how the 3rd gen. was :D More adventure!! At least the game isnt going to be swamped with per-evos and evolved formes.

As I just said in another thread a moment ago, note that it doesn't say how many new Pokemon it has, or what role. There is the chance it's a spinoff by Game Freak, which has a few new Pokemon as cameos (ala Pokemon XD with cameos from Munchlax and Bonsly, despite the game being a 3rd gen game). A spin-off IMO would also be a 'reboot' in a sense - if its that I'd expect there's something different to it after all.

At any rate we possibly will find out for sure in a few days, come the Pokemon Sunday episode, but don't assume things that aren't quite clarified yet.
