Anybody seen tat Metriod Prime 3 video from that one gaming get-together thing? It was done with Modified Gamecube Hardware, But imagine how much better it willlook once they actually get somthing from the Revolution.

If you mean at E3 05 when they went around playing with the remote (with all them mini-games), then that was Metroid Prime 2 changed around to be able to use the remote.
No screen shots, no movies anything like that has been let out. Nintendo is keeping a lid on the Revolution, the games the screen shots, videos etc will be out this year at E3 06. Untill then I bet we don't even see a single pic of a Revolution game.

Th PS3's coming out at about ?400, which I'm not paying for something about 2ft tall and wide (I don't have enough space for my new DVD player for gods sake!!) and if you look at the confirmed release titles there not that good: Killzone 2 = Big woop, if it's as good as the last one it'll blow and be in the bargain basket the day after release. Project Zero 3 = The first two were no hopers, with there combination of resi and silent hill, but badly made and the only freigtening thing about it is the dreadfull Resi 1 'walk pass' zombies and...... Gran tourismo 5 = the first two were brilliant, third one lacking speed, and the forth one you couldn't turn on so hopefully they'll get there act together and bring out a good one!!

Um... I don't know what you're talking about, but there is no confirmed price or launch titles for the PS3 yet. And another thing... Killzone didn't bomb. It's on Greatest Hits status. A game has to sell a certain amount of units (I forget how many... I think it's a rather large number) within 9 months to reach that status.

But seriously... I find arguing about which systems will tank and which will succeed, without even a lot of info out there... is a bit ludicrous.

I didn't say that killzone didn't get anywhere (it shouldn't have but it did) I said that it sucked in my opinion, with crubmy graphics and terrible AI, and the fact that it was released at the wrong time (prime 2 and the almighty HALO 2 out in about a fortnight of each other) and your right there has been no confirmed price but it was estimated at around ?700 when it first appeared years ago (thanks to it's over use of technology).

so PAH :P

All I can really say is Mountain Dew...we know nothing...admit it...so far they have given us no taste of the future and have nothing to show for it...nothing...so what do they do make more Gamecube games and more handhelds aka the micro and the new GBA Sp with even more of a blinding light.

Since this is a Nintendo topic, I'm not going to elaborate on how you dissed Killzone (an okay game, IMO), but praised Halo 2 (a game I can't stand at all)... if you want to keep talking about that, PM me....

But at this moment, of the potential games I'm excited for on Revolution, only new additions to the Smash Bros. and Animal Crossing series pique my interest... that, and another Mario, if he gets back to his roots. In my opinion, most of Nintendo's first party games have kind of been boring ever since the Nintendo 64 came out. It's like Miyamoto-sensei took some reverse ginkou pills and forgot how to be innovative. And I'm talking real innovation, not "let's redesign the controller" stuff.

It has been interesting to hear peoples different oppinions. I'm glad that nobodies gone crazy-phycho-fanboy on anybody that pretty much everyone isn't being immature.

Double posting's bad, as is making a topic that alread yexsists within a month's span (especially if it's from the same person).

So, you're in a lose-lose situation here.

My Thoughts, IT'S GOING TO ROCK!

I REALLY am not a big fan of the Revolution controller. Holding onto two different controls instead of one controller in both hands will be very awkward for most gamers when the Revolution comes out, since all gamers held onto one big controller since the NES days. I'm still not sure how the controller will work because Nintendo won't say anything about it. So, I'm waiting until I get my hands in it before I make my final judgement. Just give me the Wavebird anyday.

As for the system itself, the abilty to download older Nintendo games from the day has sold me. I would love to replay some older Nintendo hits I've never played in years.

ah but ninty have said that they're making an add on for the revo controller so that you hold it in two hands if you don't like the whole one hand, "best thing if dual wield" thing and that is confirmed

The remote kinda looks like a remote. I kinda like it better than the PS3 controllers. They look like bananas or boomerangs.

Well, yeah. But when the NES came out everyone was all like 'WHOA THIS ISN'T A JOYSTICK', and now it's the standard. I don't expect this to be too different.

My opinion based on what we know: The Revolution will be an interesting experience to say the least. I like how Nintendo attempts different ideas, instead of going with the flow. What intrigues me the most is the remote style controller, since there are many different ways you could play with it.

My opinion in general: I don't have one, since you can't fully judge a console till you play it.

We don't know anything about the system at all except that the concept controller is incredibly unattractive. Nintendo doesn't care much about America anyway seeing as it's far bigger in Japan.

Yea, sure, whatever you say........

The US is the world's second largest money maker for game companies (well Sony and Nintendo. Microsoft pulls almost everything out of the US due to it not being liked well in Japan and the UK). You really think Nintendo is going to say "Screw you, we'll just stick with Japan"? Yep, you're totally right, Nintendo doesn't care about the US......

What are you talking about dude? The controller is extremely attractive to anybody who truly knows what it can do, you're probably just saying that because of how it looks. And Nintendo does care about America, the Metroid series is succesful because of us Americans(since Japan isn't very fond of it), and seeing as they havn't stopped making Metroid games they obviously do care.

Maybe I should have used better words than "Nintendo doesn't care." I know that Nintendo obviously does care seeing as we do buy their product, I'm just saying that they should realize that the average mainstream US gamer won't like this new controller based purely on the way it looks. Japanese gamers, on the other hand, are usually much more curious and leniant about such things and love trying out new hardware and such. The average american gamer is scared of change. It just wants its classic games, its sequels, and its same old same old.

I seen this really weird 'Revolution' console on this website...cant remember which. But if its what i seen then OMG pretty swish ^^ And as for the controller...i hope the GC ones will be compatable with it.
