Well the mainstream gamers should read before judging. I didn't like it at first, but I didn't go "That's it, I'm not going to buy a Revolution". I read up on it and the more I read the more I knew it was going to be great. There are so many ways this thing can be used it's not funny. Anywhere from a gun for an FPS to a ball bat for baseball.Hitokiri said:Maybe I should have used better words than "Nintendo doesn't care." I know that Nintendo obviously does care seeing as we do buy their product, I'm just saying that they should realize that the average mainstream US gamer won't like this new controller based purely on the way it looks. Japanese gamers, on the other hand, are usually much more curious and leniant about such things and love trying out new hardware and such. The average american gamer is scared of change. It just wants its classic games, its sequels, and its same old same old.
But what really put the last nail in the "I don't like this" coffin for me was this.

It's an IGN mockup but Nintendo has said they are going to have a shell that'll be sort of like the GC controller style. A normal controller, like everyone wants (something like that pic up there). I bet that's how SSBR will be played.
And for all we know Nintendo might kill the whole "Shell" thing and just go with a controller like the wavebird. No Rev remote needed.
