Does anyone else think the amount of elemental stones you get for sure are rather lacking? The only ones sold in stores are oval and water stone(black city not sure about white). So once you use the stones you had up(or accidentally sold them like I did T.T) the only option you really have to search for elemental stones is through dust clouds in caves; which appear at random, usually give you gems, or it makes you fight a mole. This is so ineffient that the I don't even bother with it anymore. In D/P you were swimming in elemental stones you could get five no problem via mining. Now I'm asking for them to bring back mining but in the next generation V game they should have something better than dust clouds, I would suggest someone who has a chance to give you a elemental stone everyday, maybe giving you the opption to buy them on certain days, or buying them on the battle subway.

I have the same problem with it, like they should let you bring items over from hg/ss d/p/pt. or have a person who hands out the stones like they do with the fossils. But what can you do we are not game developers.

First all you can find thunder/water/leaf/fire/shiny stones everywhere. For example you can choose if you want a fire/water or leaf stone from a guy in castelia city to evovle your monkey and then you can find thunder/water/leaf/fire/shiny stones in caves when it comes those small dust clouds.

The problem arises when you run out of stones that you find on the field (or from the guy in Castelia City). Since you can't buy them (Like in Gen I) and you can't dig them up in the underground (Gen IV), you're forced to use the dust clouds. While I don't know the exact percentage, the odds of finding the stone you want in the clouds is far too low. I run into every dust cloud I see and have only found one evolutionary stone. It's just not an efficient method...

or you used it to evolve a pokemon but you want a better version of that pokemon.ok now ill just evolve it damn no stone(this happened to me with candelure i made another that i was gonna make better but i had no stone).so im force to evolve some opkemon in previous games then transfer them

I think I found like one of each evolution stones (other than moon I found tons of those). Yeah I mean If you need extras your just screwed at this point.

Really? I remember I had two or three, or even four in some cases, of each type of stone by the end of the game.

I noticed that and it annoyed me tbh. I wanted to evolve a few Lampents but after I evolved pretty much evolved one or so, I was thinking, crap, getting another Dusk Stone isn't necessarily gunna be easy. And tbh, that's mainly why I don't stick to my second elite four challenge because... I just can't evolve anything (well, I can, but it'd be easier if there were more sources of stones).

you can also find another leaf stone if you show the scientist on route 6 all forms of deerling,, but yeah, finding stones is a pain, i wish they gave us more ways to find the ones we want. and spending all day running through dust clouds is really a pain. at least we are able to find them if a slim chance at all

I really have no one to help me get more people in my black city so im stuck with moonstones and oval stones. all i wanna get is water stones. I think this was just another way to push people to encourage their friends to buy the games so they could increase their forest/city populations

It's ridiculous how hard it is to find evolution stones. I don't want to be hunting around for dust clouds all day because more often than not I get ambushed by a Boldore on my way over to the cloud anyway... and I seem to get those one time use gems more than anything:/

I was annoyed that evolutionary stones in Gen V became so rare. Luckily, I got the Dawn Stone, extra Dusk Stones and an extra Shiny Stone in dust clouds.

I've not got too far in Pokemon Black So I just wanna know how common are Leaf Stones? I have a Weepinbell and I really want my Victreebell it's my fave grass type, If someone knows please tell.

I do think that there should've been more stones ingame. Finding them in dust clouds is tedious and annoying, plus evolution stones are used more in this game.

A match made in heaven. /sarcasm

I buy my stones from Black City. They are extremely expensive, but somewhat worth it because they are hell to obtain otherwise.

I agree, I kind of wish that I got Pokemon Black instead of Pokemon Black. I was lucky to find ONE Water Stone through a Dust cloud but I highly doubt that will happen ever again. I had to get all of the Unova Pokemon out of the way first (with evolution stones) and since I didn't have enough for the previous generations of Pokemon, I had no other choice but to bring them to Pokemon White due to the lack of element stones -_-"

I find that the easiest way to obtain the stones is to use max repels, and cycle around the giant chasm, the only reason I don't find it annoying since I'm filling my pokedex evolving weak pokemon with exp. share and I sorta like collecting gems :P
