Non-evolving Challenge!

Welcome to the Firered and Leafgreen non-evolving challenge! :mew: All you need is a copy of firered, leafgreen or an emulator.

:t084:Rules:
1) As the title states this is a non-evolving challenge so no evolving of any kind. You must use the first form of all pokemon you use.

2) No hm slaves. Teach hm to the pokemon that you have.

3) No trading.

4) You have finished your challenge once you have beaten the E4.

5) No legendaries.

6) Please update as often as you can.

7) Absolutely no cheating of any kind. It will not be tolerated.

You can use any pokemon in the game that you want as long as it is the first evolution. So that being said you do not have to use one of the starters if you don't want to. It was just brought to my attention that pichu is not available before the national dex so I am allowing pikachu to be used in this game even though he has a pre-evolution.

Update:
I started my challenge and chose squirtle as my starter. I named him Tiny. Battled my rival Blue and Tiny kicked butt and won! Then I went to the next town and got Oak's parcel. Brought the parcel to Oak and received the pokedex and the pokeballs. Went out and caught a rattata and named her Bella. I also caught a pidgey and named her Paige. Now I am currently training all three of my pokemon up to level 10 before I go into Viridian Forest.

Playing as LEAF.

Chose BULBASAUR. Got a male with serious nature.

Lost to BLUE. :disappoin

Headed Straight to VIRIDIAN CITY and picked up OAK'S PARCEL.

WTH?! I want one!

That's it so far. I haven't trained BULBASAUR at all yet, I'm going wait to battle the trainers in VIRIDIAN FOREST.

Btw am I allowed to play Moemon Leaf Green? It's basically same as Pokemon Leaf Green except spirits for Pokemon got replaced with cute anime like girls XD(Pokemon's name is still same though, so is game play)

Playing in the FireRed Version

​

-Started the Challenge, i named the character RED and the rival is BLUE.

-Picked a Charmander, i named him Flamer and defeated Blue's Squirtle.

-I reached viridian a got oak parcel, then i delivered oak parcel and got a pokedex , 5 pokeballs and the Town map . later i caught a spearrow and named her Falcon. then trained Flamer to level 10 and Falcon to level 9, then I defeated the rival after a close battle

-then i headed to viridian forest where i battle with all the trainers with Flamer and Falcon and Both got to level 13. so Flamer learned Metal Claw.

-I arrived to Pewter city after crossing the Viridian Forest

-I defeated Brock's only student. Then i had a difficult battle with brock using flamer and his metal claw. in the end flamer managed to win so I received the Boulderbadge.

-So at the end of this battle the levels of my pokemon ended this way

Spoiler:

- Chose a girl character and named her Akemi. Named the rival Gary for lack of inspiration.
- Withdrew the potion from the PC in my room.
- Chose Charmander and named him Roy.
- Roy beat Gary's Squirtle and grew to level 6.
- Delivered Oak's parcel and get the pokedex and pokeballs.
- Received Kanto map.
- Caught a Spearow, a Rattata, and a Mankey but didn't nickname them.
- Trained all my pokemon to level 8 and won a battle against Gary in Viridian City.
- Made it out of Viridian Forest.
- Beat Brock and headed to Mt. Moon.
- Caught a Geodude and boxed Rattata.
- Continued through Mt. Moon.

Team:
Geodude - Level 9
Mankey - Level 13
Spearow - Level 13
Roy (Charmander) - Level 13

Update:

- Made it through Mt. Moon.
- Beat my rival again.
- Beat Nugget Bridge and made my way to Bill's house.
- Received S.S. Anne ticket from Bill.
- Beat Misty mostly by luck.
- Arrived in Vermilion City and defeated the first "floor" of the S.S. Anne.

Good job both of you! Seems like everyone is leaving me in their dust:) I'm going to have to sit down and do some more of the challenge.

Ok so I had to restart my game. So I started a new game and picked squirtle as my starter, then had to reset because I got a girl the first time. After restarting I got a male squirtle and named him TINY again. My characters name is LEAF. Now I'm on my way to Viridian forest.

Also I don't know if anyone noticed but I changed the rules a little. I'm allowing pikachu to be used since you cannot get pichu in any way before the national dex, my fiance pointed this out to me.:chu:

Here's another update. I would post pictures, but I apparently don't have enough posts to include URLs.

- Beat my rival on the S.S. Anne and received Cut (taught it to Roy).
- Beat Lt. Surge easily with Geodude.
- Was terrorized by Digletts and Dugtrios in Diglett's Cave. Arena trap is a really annoying ability.
- Was given the worse HM ever invented (aka Flash) and taught it to poor Oddish.
- Received Old Amber in Pewter City and headed back to Vermilion.
- Made my way through Rock Tunnel.
- Saved in Lavender Town.

-Caught a Clefairy and nicknamed her Moonshine

-Caught a Bellsprout and nicknamed her Belle
-Made my way to Bill and received the S.S. Anne ticket.
-Beat Misty easily with Bellsprout
-Traveled to Vermilion City
-Beat my rival on the S.S. Anne and received Cut
-Beat Lt. Surge
-Went through Rock Tunnel without Flash(I've played this game way too much)
-Headed to Celedon City
-Defeated the rockets in the game corner
-Defeated Giovanni in the game corner
-Battled and defeated Erika

- Caught the Snorlax on route 12 and boxed it.
- Received Super Rod on route 12.
- Made it to Fuchsia City and saved.

-Destroyed my rival in the pokemon tower

-Recieved the super rod
-Used the super rod to catch a Krabby and nicknamed her Sidestep
-Trained with the Vs. Seeker for a long time
-Went back to Celedon
-Bought TMs Thunderbolt (for Clefairy) and Icebeam (for Krabby)
-Got the Fly HM and taught it to Pidgey
-Took on Silph Co. in Saffron
-Defeated my rival once again (this was actually pretty tough)
-Defeated Giovanni again and recieved the Master Ball

-Defeated the fighting Dojo and recieved/boxed Hitmonchan
-Took out Sabrina!
-Got TM Psychic and taught it to Clefairy
-Walked the long way to Fushia City
-Fought lots and lots of trainers @_@
-Headed to the Safari Zone and recieved HM Surf and found the gold teeth
-Traded the teeth for the Strength HM
-Taught Krabby Surf and Cubone Strength
-Took on Koga and won with easy (cubone+charmander+psychic on clefairy=total domination)
-Trained on cycling road
-Flew to Pallet Town and surfed south to Cinnabar Island
-Got the gym key from the mansion
