CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT...
Sorry. When Pokemon was new and Yellow just came out, my brother started his game. He was pretty far. He let our little cousin play for a bit and she saved over his game. I think he still doesn't like her much. So how far were you in the game anyways?
All I have to say is lol, and why where you changing PC boxes anyway? Another thing, it gives you a warning before you save, and you failed to heed it?!
It's a bit much to call an accident, isn't it?
The way the topic post was written is as if the game automatically saved without any user intervention (i.e. leaving your game for a few minutes and it saves-all by itself).
If that's the case (games auto-saving without user intervention), then I don't think that sort of problem has ever happened with me.
However, I did a few times accidentally save at certain points I knew I didn't want to be, and regretted them.
Urgh, that happened to me while changing boxes at a different occasion.
I saved right before the Bug-Catching Contest to catch Pinsirs which I would teach Hidden Power and test out if they had HP Bug at a high power. Then I had to Move Pokémon W/O Mail to take it out and WHAM! I had to wait two more days to be able to redo the contest (by soft-resetting you know) and to find a better Pinsir. I released that Pinsir in rage, but that was alright since I didn't need it anyways.
It is a dangerous road to access the PC when you don't wish for the overwriting of your precious save file.
