honestly wasn't sure where to ask this
I was surprised to see there was no thread/article/news about the "winding down" of romhacking.net
was actually why I logged on to see if it was being discussed here and to leave a comment in the thread. Maybe there is one and I missed it somehow, but I couldn't find it.
Tbh I can't remember if there was ever a news style post/thread with the details about the Relic Castle closure when that happened either, but I feel like there probably should've been and should be for RHDN too since they're pretty relevant topics...at least for the rom hacking sections. I did see one thread acknowledging RC's closure, but it seemed more like a user just like "oh I just noticed it's closed" rather than any kind of official post with relevant information as news.
If it's that there's no one to make them, I can make the thread myself maybe, was more just curious not to see them in the first place! Is it maybe intentional that PC doesn't wanna officially cover these as news? That talking about other sites is just something they'd rather avoid? (at least in an official capacity). Even if they're pretty notable in those communities/spaces? & their closures are big news. I'd imagine both these closures would've been hotly discussed topics, had such posts been made. Maybe some of those discussions did happen on discord? (I wouldn't know as I'm not really active on there) and then they just didn't really translated over to the forums?
I know PC is bigger than just RH, but as it's still a pretty integral part of the forums and community, these feel like pertinent news for the site.
anyway, I probably made this post too long, sorry.
tldr:RC, RHDN...can these closures not be covered as relevant news for the site? seems to me like they should and maybe could be. If not, curious as to the why.
