Question: Notifications.

I seem to have a "Your Notifications" thing stuck with the number 1. It won't go away no matter how many times i click it. It's not a big deal but is it fixable?

It's for visitor messages. Maybe it's stuck because it got to many sent at the same time?

Did you check the VM?
Try going to your User Control Panel. That's an alternative way to display VM's and it might clear up the notification.

It's been there for about 7+ hours or more now. I'll try the control panel thing now.

The UCP can be an alternative for checking notifications, is what I was saying.
They appear above you're rep power (or your infractions if you have any)

But anyway, I assume it wasn't there. Are you sure the notification is still a VM? You might have gotten something else just as you checked the VM.

This happened to me before. What I did was delete one of the messages someone sent me below, and it then it stopped.

Then there was one time when I did that again because it was stuck...it didn't work and I went to page 2, then clicked on the index. That also worked.

Maybe if you try those, it might stop it.

I remember someone having this problem before.
I'm not exactly sure what solved it, but I think deleting the VM helped.

Theres to many VMs on my page. And i would have to go back like 7 hours or just clear every VM on my page. I don't know which VM it was that caused it.

its cookies based so logging out/in will help.. also replying to the latest VM should clear it, too

I just tried this. Didn't seem to work. Is there a way you guys could clear the VMs on my channel? I don't care about them to much. Theres no way i'm gonna assume which one is the one that's making it stuck.

I think unapproving them and approving them again could work aswell. So select all VMs on your last page and try that.

This happened to me last year, too. I completely forgot how it finally went away, but I do believe both logging out, then log back in and reapprove/delete your VMs might do it. So basically what Ruk and the others suggested. XD

You might want to try refreshing your browser, or log on via a different browser and see if it still occurs.

Alright i fixed it. Thanks for the advice everyone. I went back to around the time i thought it occurred and deleted every message during that time and seemed to have found the right one. Also feel free to close this now.

Next time, if you happen to have the same problem again, try leaving a comment to your profile and then delete it.
That's what I did one time.
