    It's been a while since I posted this one anywhere. Since my computer went bye-bye, I had to basically start everything off from scratch. This means I lost ALL of my RPG Maker files, but fortunately, not my resources.

    I went digging and found my first project still tucked away on my Thumb Drive. This 170 MB monster of a game was originally going to be scrapped as I began work on a few others.

    However, it seems that fate was on my side. But, enough dwelling on the past. This is the game that started my RPG Making career, Nova Warriors.

    Well, basically, there are two warring kingdoms, Tyraxia and Synaria. They're intent on getting the fabled Chaos Orbs, which hold ungodly amounts of power. In fact, one of them is capable of wiping out an entire city in an instant if used properly.

    Chezni is a freelance agent, known as an Equalizer. Chezni gets mixed up in all of this and is given a crystal, known as a Nova Crystal. Before he knows it, he starts acquiring all sorts of powers from the crystal. Could the power of an ancient warrior be locked inside? Or... Is it something else? Well, you'll have to wait to find out.


    This game uses the traditional 2K3 side-view Battle System. You have spells, known as KI attacks in the game, and each character gets a set of unique abilities, known as Crisis Moves which can be used at certain times in battle.

    Stats are handled a bit differently in this game. Levels don't exist and instead, you acquire AP as you gain experience. These Ability Points can be exchanged for stat increases in towns. You'll have to keep coming back and exchanging them to benefit, since each character can only hold 99 at a time.

    Learning KI attacks requires you to spend a number of points for each attack. For the most part, anyone can learn any KI attack. However, there are some characters that don't use KI, but use Magic instead. These characters can learn their spells at a Magic Academy, by running through a short training course for each one. Once again, anyone able to use Magic can learn ANY spell.

    There are going to be an abundance of side quests, including a colosseum, a few fetch quests, and even a 100-level dungeon that changes every few floors. In fact, there is also a side quest that isn't required to beat the game, but if you undergo it, one of your characters will dramatically change, and you'll get a different ending!

    To say anything else would spoil it for everyone, but this game, which is now in its third year of development, is going to be huge. So, I'll let you look at the specs and look forward to its eventual release, though it doesn't have a set date yet.

    -Standard 2k3 Battle System
    -15 Playable Characters
    -Four Planets to Explore
    -A Refined STAT System
    -Three Different Categories Of Skills
    -Minimal RTP Use (Only the sound effects and starting character sets.)
    -Multiple Side Quests (Over 5 hours worth.)
    -Heavy MP3 and WAV use. (It's a bigger download, but worth it.)
    -Over 40 hours long. (This is estimated, about 20 hours on the first planet and 20 on the rest of the game.)

    There will be more screens coming as I get the areas re-set up. Fortunately I have my notebook, so it should come more quickly.

    I understand the requests and I promise that there will be more screenshots soon. I'm revamping many maps and features, so I don't want to give you the shots of the old maps. Don't worry. I should have some up soon.

    Oh, and by 170 MB, I mean all of the resources that were on my Thumb drive, not the game itself. I'd hope that I could get it down about 100 MB by the time I release it. (Seriously... try downloading a 170 MB file on a 64K modem... And ten years later... The connection has been lost due to power failure.)
     
    Well, the demo won't be that big. But due to the fact that there are several MP3 and WAV files in the game (About 10 total), some of the file size is unavoidable. But in ZIP format, it shouldn't be quite as bad to download. Also, I plan on having it downloadable in segments to make it easier. That should prevent download problems from occuring. It just won't have an Install file, but I'll explain it all when I start uploading it (which is still a ways off yet).
