I'm amused as well.

For the most part, she gets to live a life of wealth and luxury, but in the event that I should be incapacitated or otherwise unable to fulfill my duties as First Prime (not dead, however; in that event, Chibi inherits the position), she can fill in for me. At least that's how we do it; I don't know about the other Goa'uld and their own First Primes.

So your wife could technically spike your food to incapacitate you and takeover your position of First Prime? Heh.
