Well now it's going to soar and crash again every month....wait, no it won't. People will think of it as less of a big deal to get lots of pages, less of a big deal to get alot of members viewing, and less of a deal to be on page #1. Because you get a chance every month for the same thing.
 
Jorge is right. All new DCCs gets at least 500 posts the first few hours, and in the first day it'll maybe 1,000 posts. It's going to be just like any other DCC. Just because it has "December" and doesn't have "Winter" doesn't mean it's going to die.

DCC isn't a big deal to begin with. It's just a chat thread. No one complained when DCC had to start up after every 1,000 way back when.

The mask he had made it obvious. Oh, so did the guy Zangetsu made him fight.

So is the anime going to follow Aizen's plot to make a death god-hollow hybrid?

I think he is. In the manga it didn't last long but it sorta mentally screwed Ichigo after it was over.
