Now that gold and silver are getting remakes...

Personally i HATED the 3rd Gen. I hated a lot of the pokemon (except seviper!) and I didn't like the story. I probably won't buy the remake of ruby and saphire because i didn't like the original. I loved gold and silver. That was meh fave generation so im def getting this one

No, I really dont think they need a remake of RSE. All of the features (like animations, abilities, battle frontier and contest) are already in the D/P/Pt. No point,

The only reason why they're remaking Gold and Silver is the same reason they remade Red and Green: to keep up with the newer generation and enable trade between those games. Until FRLG, there was no way other legitimate way to get Polemon from other regions, like the Kanto starters. Johto has yet to be revised with the modern games, so they are remaking them to catch up.
 
They don't need to remake RSE, because:
1. RSE (Hoenn) are compatible with the fourth gen. (The Johto games weren't.)
2. The graphics are actually decent.
3. FRLG was remade within that Generation.
4. Johto region was the only region that wasn't compatible with the later games.
5. You can obtain Groudon, Kyogre, and Raquaza in HG/SS.
