[Let's Go] Now the hype has died down, what are your thoughts on this game?

Overall, I don't think it's that bad! It's a real good notsalgic experience with new things that I learned about (ie. Brock likes shopping in Celadon!). But yeah, the challenge isn't anything to write home about, and I really do miss the wild battles aspect, but I think this game is really good for beginners.
