Obscure Systems

My Dreamcast was free :D My sensei gave it to me, as well as all of the games and accessories he still had.

Very fortunate for you! I had to scrounge around in cardboard boxes at yard sales and flea markets for two years to find mine =p Works like a dream, though.

How are you people finding dreamcasts? XD Everywhere I go they say they don't have them, but for some reason I can always find a Genesis or SNES everywhere in flea markets

Ah well... the search continues XD

Hmmm...so if I wanted some of these consoles, where's the best place to find them cheap [used]?

The absolute best place is a flea market, people are always trading in used systems, but even then finding something such as a virtualboy will be a challenge.

Whereas I never see ANY used systems at yard sales...though I do have a lot of accessories from sales. I have multiple NES Zappers and a mint SNES Super Scope, for instnace o_o; I've never once seen a working NES or SNES at a yard sale...I buy them, and the people promise that they work, but when I get home, they never do =/

Like Kyosuke said, at flea markets and yard sales, but extract a promise out of the people that they work before you ever buy anything. Even force them to make you out a recepit that states that the machine works incase it doesn't and you need proof of purchase to return it. Also, don't buy any systems that have sat out in the sun, it fries the hardware. More NESes die in the blazing sun than anywhere else.

A HUGE challenge if you're looking for a virtual boy. After years of fruitless searching I broke down and bought one on ebay. $100 for the VB, box, AC adapter, and 4 games ;_;
