Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)

Situation -
A large poster at Canalave City Pier, Sinnoh has attracted a lot of people living there. It's a polar expedition - an Expedition to the North Pole. Scientists say that the Northern Lights are created by the collision of charged particles directed by the Earth's magnetic field. But there are some strange patterns that even the Scientists can't explain. Pokemon Scientists and Specialists, though, say that it might be a distress call from the Aurora Pokemon, Suicune. This Expedition will not only let some young trainers know more about the icy lands, it will also let the scientists go and check if everything's all right. But there are some strange movements under the ice, and the poster didn't say anything about that.






Plot -
You and SEVEN other trainers will join the expedition and head to the North Pole from Canalave with your Pokemon. But when you get there, you are attacked by a Kyurem (the Ice-dragon Legendary from Unova) and manages to survive with the other trainers. The science crew aren't that lucky...enough said. You and the trainers must survive long enough until the next ship comes to save them...and that's about 80 days later. With no water and food at all, you'll have to co-operate with the others, and hold on to your lives. Without the scientists, who knows what's happening with the Aurora Borealis? A Kyurem appeared, so it isn't strange that a Suicune's in trouble. Solve the Mystery of the Aurora Borealis...and most importantly, stay alive. Something's wrong under the thin layer of ice...

Appearance (30up): Lysander doesn't want much attention, therefore he wears dark coloured clothing. He likes wearing a blue windbreaker with a hood if the weather's awfully cold, and has short brown hair, matched with his aqua-blue eyes. He has a Yin-Yang pendant nowadays, and he brings it everywhere like a lucky charm.

Personality (70Words up): He says that the world isn't balanced enough - Some are geniuses, and some can't even spell that word at all, thus explains his Yin-Yang pendant. He likes the winter, and hates the summer -

"When you feel cold, you have plenty of clothes to wear. But when you feel hot and you have only one T-shirt on, well there's nothing you can do about it." He says. Reasonable. He spends most of his time playing or training with his Pokemon - Anubis, and likes challenging battles. Lysander likes using the counter-attack tactic, which is pretty effective, at least, to him. He won't boast when he wins, and he is modest, but he'll feel pretty depressed if he loses because of cheating. He likes deceiving bad people and make them feel sorry and confused at the same time. So please people, don't make him mad, or he'll make you mad, if you know what i mean.

History (40Words up): When he was ten, his mother died. And when he was thirteen, his father passed away. Lysander lives in a small house , only about 500 square feet in Eterna, because his parents liked saving money, and not using them. But when they died, they left him everything, including a key to a secret safe in the house. When Lysander opened it, he found the safe full of money, enough for him to live comfortably for thirty years. Antonius didn't spend all of it in one go. No. He did what his parents did. He ate cup noodles for lunch and dinner, and didn't even eat any breakfast. One day he found a lonely Riolu, that shares the same fate. It's parents were dead a long time ago. So Lysander brought him home and took care of him. Riolu is very loyal to it's master, and follows him everywhere.

When he was fourteen, he started to hate life. Life was unfair to him. He thinks that god is unfair. Why take away his parent's lives? Why not anyone else? Everyone in school has parents to talk to, to play with, to share their hapiness. And what about him? Enraged by that thought, he quitted school. Then, he started stealing. Just for fun. Most of his raids were successful, but some of them got him into deep trouble, and was almost caught by the Sinnoh police once. At least he had something to do.

"One day you'll be the fastest, and the smartest Lucario out there, Anubis." - Lysander, just before he went to the Veilstone Department store.

But then, it really happened. When he was going through the gems in Veilstone Department Store, he was caught by a security guard. Riolu wanted to help, but Lysander didn't want him to get caught too, and pushed him away before the police came. He spent six months in jail, and had enough of it. He thought up a nasty plot, and broke out with some other teens in jail. Now, he's fifteen. And he has decided to do something meaningful. He wants to leave Sinnoh, and find a new place where he can start over. He found the poster, and thought that it would be a nice vacation for him to relax and learn new things.

With his trusty Riolu that has a heart of steel like any Lucario, he can do almost anything.

Name: Kellyn Wayland
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Appearance:Kellyn is a very handsome caucasian boy at the height of 6"0. He has black hair and bluish-green eyes with inner kindness behind them. Has an average build with muscles and abs. He is fairly skinny due to days of working and training hard. His hair is in a short, messy style and his arms have been scarred up from fights and accidents. His smile is bright with white teeth, that can get any girl to fall for him. He weighs 180 lbs.

Clothing: On most occasions, Kellyn wears an average t-shirt with a simple domino design. He mainly wears his blue zip-up hoody over it and blue jeans with several designer holes. He wears simple running shoes and has a basic backpack. He occasionally wears a baseball cap with his own design on it. He has a necklace with a fearless rune on it from his family. During the winter, he wears a long sleeve shirt with a skateboard design on it and a heavier sweatshirt. When it is sunny he will wear sunglasses.

Personality: He is a kind teen who is considerably protective of his family, friends, and pokemon. Although he is kind and protective, he can be harsh to those who get on his bad side and cross the line. He is very romantic but rarely meets anyone he would like to date. He is a good sport and almost never gets depressed after losing a battle (Though it has happened before). He does get sleepy when using to much energy quickly.

He is quite adventurous, never staying in a place for too long besides the random occasions. He loves puzzles and can break most. He keeps some secrets from people until he's known them. When he gets nervous he will occasionally say a joke to lighten the mood. He has a supportive thought of most of the laws and will fight to protect . He'll brag to his rival('s) in order to show his achievements.

History: Kellyn was a kid born in Pallet town and enjoyed being around pokemon. At around age 11 Kellyn received a shiny magikarp from the town professor, A.K.A. Professor Oak. He named it Rapid and they set out on their journey. Kellyn had come across a poochyena, which is uncommon in Kanto, and caught it. The three started to work together capturing more pokemon and battling gyms . Eventually Bliss, the Poochyena, and Rapid evolved and they became unstoppable until they reached the Indigo Plateau at got to the Top 16. They stopped Team Magma and Aqua, causing him to befriend a lot of the legendaries of the region of Hoenn, where they had reached the Top 4. Here they went to the Hoenn Battle Frontier by invitation and beat each of the Brains. They traveled through Sinnoh and Johto, simply gathering badges until he became the Sinnoh champion and befriended Cynthia. He stayed in the region as soon as he heard of the expedition instead of going to the Sinnoh Battle Frontier, unknowing what would happen.

History: Rapid was originally a lone magikarp in the nearby sea due to it being shiny. The professor was out fishing one day when they met. Oak, realizing that Kellyn could be a talented trainer presented Rapid as a gift. Together the two traveled together, beating trainers and making friends. When Kellyn decided to take him on the expedition, he was excited, unknowing what would happen.

Name: Jenna Marren (Jen)
Gender: ♀
Age (11-17): 17
Appearance: Jen is rather short for her age (and undeveloped to compliment it) so she appears a lot younger than she is. Her hair is quite short and light brown, and she wears it tied back but various layers cut into it means it still hangs down in her hazel eyes. She has slightly-tanned skin.

Especially for the expedition, she's dressed in skiing-style clothes - probably not ideal, as she soon will find out - but she finds they look stylish enough to pass as regular clothes. Her jacket is white with red stripes down the sleeves and red cuffs, and the pants are white with red trim. She also wears boots with red lining, to match the theme she has going on, and a pair of ski goggles with red-tinted lenses.

Personality: Jen seems happy-go-lucky if you don't really know her, but after a while, she'll open up and show her serious side. She has one motive that keeps her going through thick and thin; she wants to help, more than anything, and cares deeply for the wellbeing of Pokémon. Above all others, she will defend innocent Pokémon and openly condemn those who are cruel to theirs. She's also slightly annoying in that she will push her campaign to end Pokémon cruelty into the face of anyone who shows the slightest interest.

History: Jen grew up in Azalea Town in Johto, with her mother and brother, since her father disappeared on a previous expedition to the north. During her childhood, there was an incident with Team Rocket, as they stormed the town and cut off the tails of the precious Slowpoke. When a local hero vanquished them, she befriended one of the Slowpoke who had lost his tail, which strangely never grew back, and due to his lack of balance, she helped him regain some through hard work and training. Since seeing how much such a cruel act affected a Pokémon, she came to believe very strongly in the liberation of Pokémon to ensure they could remain happy.

As such, she decided never to actively travel as a Pokémon Trainer. It went against her principals, since it would mean hurting Pokémon in order to win battles, and as such, she lived a simple life as a traveller, never engaging in combat or taking on challenges. She and her Slowpoke, who she imaginatively named Pokey, went sightseeing around Johto and Kanto, and later on caught a ferry to Sinnoh, where, arriving in Canalave, she heard of the expedition. Once she learned there was a possibility Suicune had been hurt, she jumped at the chance to accompany the exploration team. How could she ignore a plea from a legend of her homeland? And on top of that, there was the possibility, however slim... of finding her father...

Your Pokemon's Personality and History: Pokey is absent-minded and forgetful, which Jen sees as charming. His tail was removed during Team Rocket's plans, and unfortunately never grew back, which was unusual in his species. After losing his tail, he lost his center of balance, but after Jen helped him in his goals to stay upright, he formed a tight friendship with her that he could never forget about. Travelling was not outstanding to him, for every city looks the same when you can't remember what one looks like after you've left it. However, the idea of somewhere cold like the north appeals to him, as he is part Water-type, and enjoys low temperatures.

Name: Miharu Mizushima

Gender: Female

Age (11-17): 17

Appearance (20up): Miharu has short black hair and black eyes that can unnerve people. She usually uses that to her advantage. She is 5'6 and weighs 118 pounds. She has fairly slim muscles from her various martial arts training and throughout her journey. She normally wears all black, but what she wears depends on the season/weather.

Personality (70Words up): Miharu is called very emotionless at times, due to the fact that she rarely shows emotions on her face aside from apathy, annoyance, and a blank mask. However, she only acts this way around other people; the only time she lets down her mask is when she around her pokemon, or her friends. She is very sarcastic and has a very sharp tongue, but whenever she says sarcasm, she usually does so with a straight face and even tone so others may believe that what she said was not sarcasm. She despises arrogance and will do whatever she can to beat it out of someone. If someone is in trouble, she may not help unless the situation is life-threatening since she believes that sort of experience can either break a person, or let them grow stronger. She will do whatever she can to help a pokemon though. Although she is taciturn, she does say things when there is something important at stake. She also will say whatever is on her mind as she is brutally honest.


History (40Words up): Miharu had first started in the Sinnoh region, deciding that the last region she was going to conquer was her own region. In all four regions, she collected all eight gym badges along with getting all of the Battle Frontier Symbols, both in Sinnoh and Hoenn. In the Sinnoh region, she made it to the top sixteen, but lost to another contender. After losing, she had gotten an invitation to the Battle Frontier in Sinnoh and beat all of the Frontier Brains. Afterwards, she had decided to go to Hoenn next. It was there where she made it to the semi-finals, but lost against the future winner of the Hoenn League. She had also gotten an invitation to the Battle Frontier there and beat all of the Frontier Brains. She then went to the Johto region, but after getting all eight gym badges she had decided to go straight to Kanto instead. It was after she had gotten all eight gym badges at the Indigo League where she had finally won the tournament. She then battled the Elite Four and won, but lost to the champion. However, she has battled every champion or Elite Four member once, either throughout her journey as sparring or as formal challenges. Hearing about the expedition, Miharu decided to join.

Likes: Her friends, her pokemon, nature, and mangoes.

Dislikes: Human nature, mostly idiots or arrogant people.

Notes: Knows English, Japanese, Korean, Khmer, and French. Has an IQ of 200; she is pretty much one of those "born smart" geniuses who usually don't have to work hard in order to perfect anything that has to do with memorization and learning new things. She usually thinks things through, very quickly, before doing anything and she can usually get information by just reading people or picking up small context clues or hidden messages in the words. She has also very adapt in psychology and uses what she has learnt about the subject in battles. Has studied different martial arts and has incorporated most of them into her own fighting style. She can use practically anything around her as a weapon. She has seen every legendary pokemon in existence except for Arceus (and Isshu/Unova Legendaries).

Your Pokemon's Personality and History (40up total): Responsible, courageous, and protective over Miharu is a nice way to explain all…er, most, of her pokemon (who will not be in the RP), but Bishamon is also very sadistic. He loves to see others in pain, except not in a pokemon battle. In a pokemon battle, he does fair game without trying to cause the most pain to the other pokemon. Has a telepathic connection with Miharu. He has been with Miharu since Sinnoh when they met up with each other when he was a Ralts. He has helped in many battles over the years.

Name: Nichole Canis
Gender: female
Age (11-17): 17
Appearance (20up): Nichole has blonde hair that comes to her shoulders. She has sparkling blue eyes that always have somewhat of a dreamers look to them, like shes always thinking about times long ago. She wears a long black coat, and has a dark red tank top on (of course for this journey, shes switching to a long sleeved top lol) and black jeans. knee high black boots cover her feet, and she always wears a large heart shaped ruby on a gold chain around her neck.

Personality (70Words up): Nichole is somewhat of a quiet person, but shes not meek by any means. Shes never afraid to say what needs to be said, and she can be quite blunt about it. She does keep her heart guarded, because of past experiences (see history for more) and she can seem kind of cold at times. She also tends to take personally any problem that comes up, like she has a personal vendetta to fixing problems, which makes a lot of people think shes too nosey or bossy.

History (40Words up): Nichole was born in the Kanto region, in Lavendar Town, where she was raised by her aunt and uncle. Her mom, who had raised her alone, had passed away from a terrible illness when Nichole was only 7. Although Aunt Alma and Uncle Harris were nice enough, they didn't agree with children leaving home to travel on a pokemon adventure. They did, however, allow Nichole to go out and catch her very own when she was 10. Nichole had caught a growlithe, and he became her best friend.
Now Lavender is of course famous for the fact that ghost pokemon love to hide out there, because of the quiet and serene atmosphere. One day, as Sam (her growlithe) and she went out for a stroll at dusk, a strange fog came over them. They found themselves near a secluded and small lake, surrounded by trees. As they paused for a moment and looked across the water, they spotted a strange pokemon; a couple drifloon came floating close to them! After spending several minutes watching in amazement, Nichole fell in love with the ghost type. Though she didnt catch one that day, she swore she was going to study them from that moment on.
Now 7 years later, Nichole has studied the ghost types everyday since that night at the lake. But instead of capturing all the different ghost types, she decided to use their "style" so to speak with her training. Since she loves canines, Nichole captured several canine-species of pokemon, like growlithe, and adpopted her own technique (to be revealed later ;) ) Now her goal is to one day meet the three legendary canines, Suicune, Raikou and Entei.

Appearance (20up): Standing 5'7, Kyle wears a black hat with a purple Pokeball symbol on the front. He also wears a purple jacket with a black shirt underneath. His hair and faciel fitures are similar to Touya. (Pokemon Black and White) He is also extremly skinny.
Personality (70Words up): Kyle keeps to himself and his Pokemon. He is really shy and has low confidence. However, these traits hide his courage that lys within him. He also has a tendence to stay off from groups of people. When Kyle meets someone, it's almost certain he's made his decision on whether he likes them or not. But if you warm up to him, he is actually really friendly. He will also never back down from a challange. To sum it all up, he's a complex soul that needs a guide in order to gain the trust of the people around him.
History (40Words up): Kyle was the first child of a huge family. But when he was 7, his parents suddenly died from a long illness they both suffered. Kyle being the eldest of 9 siblings, became the caregiver along with his younger brother, Ryan. The two of them kept there family safe in the small home given to them by their parents after their passing. Living in Littleroot Town, Kyle also worked at the nearby Pokemon Lab run by Proffesor Birch. When Kyle received an invite to the trip up north. He was worried about his family. But the second oldest brother Ryan, who was a year younger. Said he could handle it. So Kyle doubtfully left his family in order to treck across the north.
