i never even knew that you could catch shineys in HG/SS thats news to me
 
i look for shinies and never find them... i just don't look for them anymore, if i come across one i'll get it....
If you evolve a shiny pokemon will it be shiny in its next form? same with breeding?

Yes, a shiny Pokemon's evolution is still shiny. : D
 
Well, I was just training up my Pokemon and I managed to find a Shiny Rattata. (Score!)
But, it didn't look all that as a Shiny as it was beige... So, I traded it in the end for a Chikorita.
I still wish I could see some more Shinies though!

This morning, I found my first ever wild Shiny - a Krabby I fished up while training in Cianwood. I certainly didn't expect it! I was just fishing up Krabby and Corsola, KOing them in order to train up a new team member, and what comes crawling from the shallows, all golden and glittering?

Only this little guy! *squee!* ~♪
 
After 6 days and approx 18 hours of soft resetting i scored myself a shiny Chikorita. Really wanted Totodile or Cyndaquil though, dont really like Chikorita but oh wells. Can finally start playing the game now

Early on in my game, just after getting my first badge, and a little before I went to take on Bugsy, I was walking back to get Apricorns and ran into a random battle. It was night time, so it was a Spinarak. It had a beautiful blue coloring and glittered. I felt incredibly lucky, smiled big, and caught it. It's name was BlueBeetle.
Today, it's still a Spinarak, but it's level 60. I decided I like the Spinarak's coloring better than Ariados's colors.

It's the first time I've ever got to raise a shiny through the main game. :3 And, even though he's a little weak and insta-dies at the first glance from a Psychic, I love him so, and one day, he will be in the party that takes on Red~

And that's my shiny story. n.n

I've never encountered one in my Pokemon career, which spans since red :(
 
Shiny Charmander!!!

Wo0t!!! I got a shiny charmander egg!!! after all this time I finally got 1
 
I was training to battle Red and after a while I got bored and decided to just go for it. I was making my way up to him and was about to go into a cave and use Repel so that I didn't get bothered by any Pokemon when a shiny Donphan appeared out of nowhere. I couldn't believe it and was so relieved to have some Pokeballs balls with me! Although I was scared about killing it as it was only level 50 and I was much stronger, but I was lucky and managed to catch it :D still in my box now, don't care much for training it though haha

Didn't you look at the 2nd post?

I've encountered 3 shinys.

All three of them ic ouldnt catch.

1st was Weezing who selfdestructed.
2nd was dratini in safari who fled.
3rd was geodude that i ran out of balls for :(
 
WTFBBQ?

WTF! My freind was at my house and found a wild chickorita SHINY and it was lvl 85 0.o he didn't hack it ....it was scary it was outside the daycare...Don't ask me what happen.

Any ideas?
 
That won't happen without hacking or using an Action Replay. Maybe he had the Chicorita in his party and showed it to you and said that he just caught it.
