Save before battle, then if they aren't shiny, turn it off and try again.
No shinies for me, the only one I have is the Garyados.

I've played my life, NEVER ONE SINGLE STUPID SHINY GRR
 
And speaking of soft-resetting for shinies, I have achieved my goal in getting a Shiny Bulbasaur~ ♥

Took just about 704ish resets as well. Lucky me.
 
I have a shiny Gyarados and my sexy looking Rapidash. :3 Those blue flames are awesome!
 
Is anyone else disappointed that Game Freak didn't add the Pokéradar to HG/SS? :| Obviously. One of the best parts of the game.
 
my brother caught a shiny stantler but i've never caught a wild shiny >.> (besides red gyarados OBVSLY)
 
Today I just lost a shiny Butterfree! I used headbutt on a tree and I encountered it, I tried to catch it with several ultra balls. But it failed, instead it used whrilwind on me :( :( :( I'm so sad *sniff*

*sniff* why do pokemon do this to us! Its not fair :(

I found a Shiny Tauros a few days ago in the Safari Zone!

Its a pretty green.... =D

I actually managed to catch it! It makes up for the shiny houndour that roared me away... :(
 
I think I'm just going to run around in some grass for a day looking for a shiny.
I want JUST ONE I can use and brag to my friends about.

i found a shiny shinx today next to celedon city!! :D:D:D i was so excited haha. it was level 28 so when it leveled up to 29 it evolved to luxio and then leveled to 30 and it turned into luxray :)
so i took out ampharos from my party and put in shiny luxio:)

also, this is my FIRST shiny i catch wild. the others are either free in the games or traded.

Lost Shinies Thread

Today, I saw my first shiny, after more then 200 hours of playing Pokemon games.

A Graveler, in Mt. Silver. On the second turn it used Explosion.

That's when my head exploded, and threw the DS across the room.

Have any similar stories?

I only encountered a shiny linoon on sapphire. My friend and brother always happen to find shiny, in fact, all my friends did, yet I was the one who played the most. :'(
 
I found a shiny Tangela outside of Mt. Silver.
I evolved it into a Tangrowth its beast.

Anyone want to trade?
 
my shiny Weezing (which I found as a koffing) my first shiny (sans red gyara) and back when I first had the original gold version I ran into a shiny voltorb which I kinda killed
 
Caught my first non red Gyarados shiny today. Shiny Delibird :D first Delibird i found, too.
