Usually, but not always. I've grown onto Kris, May, and Soul, but Dawn still scares me. I don't count Leaf (who I call Blue) as a normal character, but she still grew on me.
 
I am not so much a country girl, but for her she looks like a cute one. I honestly think her more of as a trainer than a coordinator though.
 
And yet, that's basically where she is. 2nd most likely place, actually. I'd be surprised if she came from Rostboro...

To be on topic: I dislike anyone who rams Soul in the face!
 
Pika? Crystal was the one game, where I swapped the textures on a retail cart (without a computer, other than Internet) because I loved blue. Now if there was a girl in black... :D
 
If this new girl was dressed in black, I don't think I might have enjoyed it too much. I like the use of more vibrant colors, it seems to appeal more in my opinion.
 
I would like the new girl better if she was dressed in black... or had BLACK HAIR. The closest we ever got to black hair was Dawn, who is my favorite female character that I have played. (never played GSC) Seriously, BROWN hair is so un-original! What, three heroes have had it already? Wheras all of the male oned have black hair, why?? T.T Gamefreak just has to be mean to me... (joking lol)
 
Am I the only one that is reminded of Strawberry Shortcake when I look at her?
 
They need to make a black, Asian, or hispanic trainer.
 
She really does look similar to that other girl. I can spot some differences though.

The Johto girl looks better though, and I must say I am starting to rub off on the overalls now.

Well it doesn't but you never know, Nintendo could be referring to a lot of things. Like they could've gotten the new girl's hair color and style from a manga or so.

Anyways to me her brown hair should be shown a bit more but I like the style of her hair.

The girl is original, but the hair definitely could have been a bit different and not look like the same style from Kris.

I have never seen anyone above the age of 10 wear overalls here in Britain, or even when i went to Belgium.

No, this is not a flaming post, but she does not look European.

So, in the end, RAM HER IN THE FACE!
 
@ the last post on previous page: The most similar thing about that comparison is the hat, other than that, the new girl looks so much better in comparison with that little Strawberry Shortcake Cutie.

Even so, there's always a first for everything. Of course that's just your opinion about her though.

I find her overalls cute for a Johto girl. She's different from the rest of anime girls and I like that.

Why is it any time you say something "sucks/"rules" around someone who disagrees, they try to validate their taste in w/e by reminding you that you still only speak for yourself, as if their opinions are in jeopardy of being monopolized by your own. Everyone already knows it's his opinion by virtue of the fact that HE said it.

I have seen this issue ever since the new updated art for the character cropped up and quite frankly, it needs to end. Everyone around here has been (basically) harassed by others who "disagree" with their opinions on a female choice. Hell, there's a complaint thread and people are still getting harassed over any and all issues they have with the game (Personally im quite annoyed at Flash trying to constantly rebuke every opinion I have had with these games thus far). This thread is titled " [Official New Girl Thread] Love? Hate? Wanna ram face in with an 8 wheel truck?", not "[Official New Girl Thread] Rebuke and annoy the hell out of everyone that does not like the design".


If a thread is asking anonymous users their opinions on anything, I shouldn't have to be pressured into typing "thats just my opinion" in order to ensure that everyone knows im not stating my opinion as a fact. People should have the common sense to ACKNOWLEDGE its our opinions. If everyone has to spell it out for you, then god help you. No we can't assume you know we aren't stating it as opinions, but for god's sake, everyone acts like anything you post is fact. Im sorry is this gamefaqs?


You can have your own opinions, you can disagree. But for god's sake, everyone that states that they do not like the designs or w/e in this game are not people to look down upon. People are actually confronting everyone that says one negative friggin thing with this game, its beyond belief. If a person doesn't like graphical tiles, then let him be. Calling him a fanboy or nostalgia whore based on ONE SENTENCE is god awful, and THAT should be frowned upon.

*sigh* I dont apologize for my outburst, because this is sickining for the fact that no one can come here, voice an overall simplistic viewpoint on anything without being opposed on every damn occasion. I dont want to believe that everyone is THIS insecure about anything in a video game.
