Well being from Massachusetts I naturally root for the Patriots. That being said I really don't think they're going to go all the way this year. Deep down I've always loved the Miami Dolphins, but I'm not sure about them either. Although, they seem to be getting better each year if memory serves me right.
with tom brady back there, unhappy albeit, the patriots could still do a lot of things.

Right now, the team to beat in the NFC West is Arizona, because they have won the division a few years in a row. Until San Fran/Seattle/St. Louis dethrones them, they are the team to beat, even if they have a shaky situation @ QB.

I think the division as a whole may become the best in the NFC in a few years, the Seahawks are back on track, so are the Niners, and eventually Bradford and the Rams will be competitive again, along with the Cards who are already a good team. Just a matter of time.

Well I do believe they'll at least make it into the playoffs, but as for making it into the super bowl I'd say no. I just don't feel like it's their year.

i'm interested in the league possibly expanding to 18 games. i'm all for it even though some of the players aren't. football season is too short so anything that extends it is good to me

If they get the revamped offense from crabtree/davis/gore/Smith etc, i see them as a playoff team for sure. That defense is downright nasty, they just need to put up sufficient points.

Especially in that division. Cardinals are going to have a down year now with Leinart starting, and Boldin gone. Rams are still a very bad team that is re-building and have a rookie QB starting. Steven Jackson will get his numbers though. I think the division will be a fight between Seattle and San Francisco. Seattle has slowly but surely improved their defense, as well as a healthy Matt Hasselbeck returning. They don't have the greatest offensive weapons, but that defense could carry them.

I was watching the packers play the colts today and the Packers have a very talented tight end in Jermichael Finley he's 6'5 247, he could be a STEAL in fantasy football so I'd watch out for him right now.

Packers, curb stomped the Colts tonight 59-24. I know its pre-season but if you look that bad, not too good going into the season like that. From what I say and heard Manning was effected by the new rules were the refs are placed were the LB's are so this essentially effects his "No Huddle Offense". Aaron Rodgers <3 dude is a beast, hopefully my team looks this good in regular season.

Jesus 59-24? well it is the colts, they aren't known for even really trying in the pre-season. :/ The Pack must be legit then if they can drop that many points.

I'd like it, i don't know why the players wont, more games=more money, more chances to get into the playoffs, more football in general. But a season that long will take a bigger toll on the body than a 16 week season i guess. They may not last as long.

espn said at their meeting the owners and nfl commissioner didn't talk about more money so some of the players are questioning if they would get more money. plus all those chances to win and play more games also means more chances to get injured and more wear and tear in the long run for players

I'll take rodgers over that ass-hole farve anyday :)
Bob Sanders the colts safety played hard. I wish there was a defensive draft in fantasy (well not in my league) Bobby Sanders FTW.

The Packers are looking like they will definitely be a top tier team in the NFC..

1st Tier - Saints, Packers, Cowboys, Vikings

2nd Tier - Giants, Falcons, Eagles

3rd Tier - Bears, 49ers, Seahawks, Redskins

It's looking more and more like my Eagles may start off the season with a 0-1 record since we play the Packers. They only thing that I feel confident about is that we are playing at home. Other than that, the Packers offense looks almost unstoppable (and they didn't even have Greg Jennings last night), and their defense which was ranked in the top 5 in all major categories, looks just as good as last year, if not better.

Aaron Rodgers has become a top 5 QB in the NFL in such a short time. I've definitely become a fan of his.

It seems the players care about there health more then two more pay checks. The thing that may be bad is a team that already has something locked up will just rest their players for even more games.

Well i kind of like that they care more about the game and their health than the money, thats kind of refreshing. But like you said< what happens when TB or KC is 2-13, what would be the point of the last 3 games? same with teams like indy. they're 14-2. Why even play the last two and risk injury to manning, reggie wayne, etc. :/ i dont think it will work out.

Kevin Kolb could be a success or a huge flop. Remember, Philly just shunned McNabb out of town. Regardless of the offense and his past experience, he's going to be under immense pressure to preform.

Philly could be taking a huge step back if Kolb can't preform the way they predicted.

Agreed, if Kolb flops they're going to look really, really bad. Even more so if the Redskins have a good year.

Going into next years draft, what quarterback would be available, that philly would potentially draft? the only one i can think of would be Ryan mallet from Arkansas. :/ either that or grab somebody in free agency

Kolbs career here will not be judged by this year alone. He will have more than 1 season to prove his worth. Unless he is completely horrendous, he will have plenty of time to grow and develop with this offense. He already proved last year when he started 2 games while McNabb was out last year that he can play at a high level. Kolb threw for over 300 yards in both of those games. He did have some bad reads and some bad INTs but that will improve over time.

It is rare that someone is great in their first season starting. Especially at the QB position. Nobody is expecting Kolb to be a top 5 QB in the league but he also won't be one of the worst QBs either. He will make mistakes and he will get more chances. McNabb had 11 years to win a championship, Kolb will get more than 1 year to try.

the eagles are doing what all teams do whenever they have qb issues. they try out all the QBs they have to see which one is most stable. kolb doesn't have to be stellar just solid and most importantly winning, even if its just .500. if he does that than the eagles are going to start getting weapons for him and a better OL. its what the broncos did when they first got cutler, its what the packers did with rodgers

There are a few teams that look to be in dire need of a QB; Arizona, Buffalo, Chicago (not a dire need, but Cutler can get axed), Tampa Bay (same situation as Chicago, but with Freeman), Jacksonville (they need a superstar QB to save them 'cause they'll most likely relocate), Minnesota (c'mon you can't expect Farve to keep coming back).

I agree except for chicago. Cutler has literally no weapons around him. Greg Olson and Matt Forte, thats about it. Chicago really needs a big time deep threat and slot receiver.
