Kolbs career here will not be judged by this year alone. He will have more than 1 season to prove his worth. Unless he is completely horrendous, he will have plenty of time to grow and develop with this offense. He already proved last year when he started 2 games while McNabb was out last year that he can play at a high level. Kolb threw for over 300 yards in both of those games. He did have some bad reads and some bad INTs but that will improve over time.

It is rare that someone is great in their first season starting. Especially at the QB position. Nobody is expecting Kolb to be a top 5 QB in the league but he also won't be one of the worst QBs either. He will make mistakes and he will get more chances. McNabb had 11 years to win a championship, Kolb will get more than 1 year to try.

Oh i agree with your statement, im just saying the Philly fans are pretty brutal. They're going to expect an elite QB, then freak out and boo Kolb if he doesnt get to 4,000 yds and 30+ TD's. They have high expectations based on the two games you mentioned, and rightfully so, but it might be too much too soon i think.

Most Philly fans that I've talked to are expecting about an 8-8, maybe 9-7 season. As long as Kolb doesn't throw a ton of INTs and stays at .500 or above this year no one will be freaking out. People aren't expecting him to be an all pro.

Kevin Kolb has shown flashes of greatness in his rookie year he went 300+ for most of his games and don't forget he has Jackson, Maclin, and Celek to throw to. Philly will make the playoffs but only because New York and Green Bay are their only opponents for the wild card spot.

I think AZ will be in the hunt for that last spot, too, if SF meets expectations. Leinart's still got a go-to guy in Fitzgerald, and he probably learned something from watching Warner the last few seasons. People forget how good Fitzgerald was even without Warner starting. And people also forget exactly how ineffective the Cardinals were before 2008. Warner's been in Arizona since 2005. Leinart was the guy he was competing for his starting job with in 2007 and 2008.

Not hating on the Cardinals but Leinart isn't taking that team anywhere. He just got beat out by Anderson and will be sitting on the sidelines this week. Not to mention Boldin is gone so other than Fitzgerald there is no one else to throw to.

The Cardinals may just finish last in the the West this year.

Leinart's been benched in favor of Derek Anderson. I think Arizona will go QB in the 1st round in next year's draft because neither Leinart or Anderson scream "Franchise QB".

Im gonna have to go with you on this one. Unless Anderson magically pulls his 2007 Cleveland season again, they're sharkbait for the 49ers and seahawks. :/

Other than RB you're pretty much stacked. Rodgers will be a top FF player, and Finley is becoming one of the best TEs in the NFL. I'm not personally sold on Jonathan Stewart, I think Williams is the Panthers primary back and will get most of the carries.

I joined two FF leagues and here are my rosters:

QB: Tony Romo, David Garrard (Bench)
RB: Michael Turner, Jahvid Best, Pierre Thomas (Bench)
WR: Brandon Marshall, Steve Breaston, Michael Crabtree, Derrick Mason and Dez Bryant (Bench)
TE: Vernon Davis, Zach Miller (Bench)
K: Adam Vinateri
DEF: New York Jets, Chicago Bears (Bench)

QB: Joe Flacco, Ben Roethlisberger (Bench)
RB: Jahvid Best, Adrian Peterson, Felix Jones and Jerome Harrison (Bench)
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Mike Sims-Walker, Wes Welker, Austin Collie and Hakeem Nicks (Bench)
TE: Owen Daniels
K: Garrett Hartley
DEF: Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears (Bench)

@mewtwo well the Panthers run a 2 back system and Stewart is better than williams imo, although I'm trying to get Ray Rice
@candace the sweet I'm guessing you didn't get a very high pick, but you definetly worked with what you had, I wouldn't but Sims-Walker over Nicks, since big things are expected from Nicks and he has a super bowl winning QB throwing to him.

Currently watching the Texans vs Cowboys preseason game. Texas are dominating on both offense and defense so far. Zero points allowed in the 1st quarter.

Texans seem to have quite a lot of impressive young talent on both sides of the ball. They may just their first playoff push this year.

^good because I just picked up slaton off waivers 8D

Brian Cushing is allowed to play pre-season, right? He'll be a big help getting there thats for sure, suspension or not. Even without him, Mario Williams is a one man wrecking crew, the Texans will be fine without cushing i think.

^I love how everyone criticized Houston for taking Mario Williams but he ends up being 2x better than bush
