I think not having Darren Sharper available to start will really impact the Saints' defense the first few weeks, honestly. He's still one of the best safeties in the game.
He is good but we are confident that Jenkins can do well in his position. Last year he really improved under Sharper.
Mike Jenkins is Dallas's CB. Malcolm Jenkins is the guy he's referring to.
Isn't Malcom Jenkins a CB also? From Ohio state right?
He played corner but we moved him to safety.
So long Matt Leinart in Arizona. I loled at the NFL poll on ESPN.com today. "Which QB has been the biggest disappointment to the franchise that drafted him" Options were Matt Leinart, Ben Roethlisberger(yeah cause two Super Bowls are disappointing), Jamarcus Russel. Russel won in a landslide with 81% of the vote. I guess drinking "lean" is more important then his NFL career. This guy is up there with the biggest busts in my opinion.
According to Adam Schefter "It is a historic deal" sounds like he got paided big. He was wanting like 21 million a year so if he gets a seven year contract that is 147 million in his pocket. It probably includes incentives as well so he could potentially make over 150 million. Either way this is probably one of the biggest contracts in terms of money in NFL history. He should get paid more then Hanesworth that is for sure, because the Redskins over paid for him. All I have seen out of his is boo hoo I don't get the type of defense I want woe is me, so I will set out a majority of training camp.
Matt Leinart is about to become a Houston Texan.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that Leinart, the free agent quarterback released by the Cardinals this weekend, has agreed to terms with the Texans on a one-year deal.
In Houston, Leinart won't have any chance of unseating the starter, Matt Schaub, so he has apparently accepted the fact that he has to be a backup, at least for now. Really, he had no other choice.
But the good news for Leinart is that if he practices well and learns the offense quickly, it shouldn't take too much to unseat the current No. 2 quarterback in Houston, Dan Orlovsky. Orlovsky looked terrible in the preseason, and Leinart should be an upgrade for the Texans at the backup quarterback position.
And if Leinart isn't even an upgrade over Orlovsky, his NFL stock has fallen even further than any of us thought.
