Great day.

Falcons lose to the Steelers!
Cowboys lose.

I was shocked that the 49ers were destroyed by the Seahawks.

My picks were:

Vikings @ Saints 35-21 (Can't go against my Saints)
Raiders @ Titans 21-17
Lions @ Bears 24-10
Dolphins @ Bills 24-14
Falcons @ Steelers 28-17
Broncos @ Jaguars 21-10
Colts @ Texans 27-24
Browns @ Buccaneers 20-17
Panthers @ Giants 24-13
Bengals @ Patriots 35-21
Cardinals @ Rams 24-17
Packers @ Eagles 35-27
49ers @ Seahawks 21-14
Cowboys @ Redskins 24-13
Ravens @ Jets 17-14
Chargers @ Chiefs 24-10

If Barron didn't hold, Buehler would have had a shot at the GW PAT. And since there was no time left, Washington wouldn't have been to freeze Buehler if there was no penalty.

Still, it wasn't as painful as the no TD call on the Calvin Johnson catch that looked to be a catch to a lot of people.

Steelers LT Max Starks will be out for at least 4 weeks. -_- Justin Harrell Packers DT is out for the season with anterior cruciate ligament injury, dude is killing mah seriously 13 Games in three years time for a new DT guys. Not to mention Johnny Jolly
is out for the season already because of the substance abuse policy *Sigh*.

That was horrible, i felt so bad for C. Johnson and the Lions. They have horrible luck. Seeing as Stafford is hurt again.

EDIT:

Ravens 10, Jets 9. The jets O looked pretty lethargic, and the last pass was just a bad move by Dustin Keller. The Def looked alright, but Anquan Bolden had a big game.

And Ray Lewis is a freakin monster of a LB, as always. One bad dude.

i'm watching the chargers vs chiefs game and i'm not a happy camper. chargers ol is getting dominated and no ones catching the ball. the chargers usually start slow but against the chiefs?

I'm not pleased because it's making me look bad for picking the Chargers to win.

It's time for me to make my picks official:

Vikings 24, Saints 20 - Gotta go with the hometown team in a close game.
Raiders 13, Titans 20 - This game is in Tennessee, and I don't think this is the Raiders year to stop being putrid.
Lions 20, Bears 30 - Suh will be an impact player for the Lions, but Chester Taylor will bail out his team early in his Bears debut, wearing down much of the Lions defense by keeping them on the field.
Dolphins 24, Bills 10 - The Bills will just stink it up next season.
Falcons 14, Steelers 23 - The Steelers defense holds on just long enough for Dennis Dixon to get his first NFL victory.
Broncos 28, Jaguars 17 - Jags get humiliated and prove that Jacksonville isn't suitable for an NFL team any more.
Colts 28, Texans 31 - This will be a close one, but I think they Texans will pull it out in Houston.
Browns 20, Buccaneers 17 - Jake Delhomme guides the Browns to victory, but not before a few mishaps by teammates keep the game closer than it actually was.
Panthers 17, Giants 33 - The Giants will romp all over a rebuilding Panthers team.
Bengals 36, Patriots 29 - The Bengals will show off their superior offensive firepower and steal a game in Foxboro.
Cardinals 23, Rams 20 - The Cardinals defense and Larry Fitzgerald will bail out
Packers 34, Eagles 33 - The Packers, despite allowing Aaron Rodgers to
49ers 23, Seahawks 19 - Both teams will look improved and will be challenging for the NFC West title, but I think the Niners will pull out a road win.
Cowboys 27, Redskins 28 - McNabb will carry the Redskins to one of the biggest upsets of the season.
Ravens 27, Jets 23 - The Ravens will spoil the start of Mark Sanchez's second season, but it will be a close game.
Chargers 33, Chiefs 24 - The Chargers will show why they're the top team in the AFC West against a Kansas City team that will look a lot better than it did last season because Matt Cassel realizes that he actually has to be a vocal leader on a team like the Chiefs.

Just one game left to get the results from and we'll know who got the luckiest in week one.

so far their special teams is carrying them which is saying a lot considering it's raining and mike scifres is a monster punter. lol is that train performing at half time. anyways, the offense needs to stop getting 3 and outs and get further down the field and at the least shrink that wiggle room for those returners

I think they're they surprise team in the NFL this year. They finally brought in a competent coach and drafted well the past year or two. And remember Arrowhead is a tough stadium to play in regardless.

Dexter McCluster has wheels. Damn. That kick return was insane.

their run game looks amazing and they have a pretty good run duo and i've seen LT in his prime with michael turner when they were both with the chargers. if their defense could consistently put pressure on the qb then they could compete with the chargers.

the chargers are in sort of shambles right now. i've almost always disagreed with their off season moves except for their draft picks, but year in and year out they are just so lax in the offseason and never make moves when they have the chance and now they're seeing it with mcneil a great pass blocker and jackson a nearly uncoverable receiver out

If they had V. Jackson and McNeil right now (Merriman too) they'd either be winning or it would be a closer game. :/ hopefully they'll come back soon. ( Although i think Jackson is suspended)

Now that you mention it, aside from Rayan Matthews, i think they have flooped at the draft/free agency the past few years. I think they need to bring in another big name guy on Defense to help out Shawn Merriman.

the chargers are never in the free agency talks and you'll never see them go after the big names. they do however draft amazingly well especially that deal with eli manning; they eventually got rivers, merriman, kaeding, and scifres out of it

also, i don't think they should've let jamal williams go, that guy was the key guy on their 3-4 line and there's really no one else who could do what he did

Mah 10-6 not good, but at least its above 500. Kris Jenkins is out for the season with a torn ACL, not going to help the Jets defense. Not that it would have mattered as sloppy as they played. Maybe they should rename themselves as the New York Yellow Flags.

Well, now we shift our attention to Week 2. There are some good games on the slate on Sunday.
