I can't see how an Angel Pokemon would offend people, really...

Some people may be offended if they don't believe in religious things, and others that do would be offended if something like that was put into a Pokemon game, they would see it as heresy.

However, most people wouldn't care. However, Nintendo tends to avoid anything that may offend somebody. So I can't see any Angel Pokemon ever being introduced.

Eh, maybe I'm just used to the people that I know, who think that angels = a particular religion. Like how Pandemonioum said that "heaven" in relation to Kanbaneri is Christian heaven, though the idea of heaven is found in various cultures.

I was probably just thinking all the way back to Pokemon being deemed evil when it first came out in America.

Or Midnight Bear can ninja me with the exact explanation I was thinking of. So thumbs up to you, Midnight Bear.

Or maybe "world turtle", another Ground-type turtle? I've seen "game" before in relation to turtle Pokemon (Zenigame being Squirtle) so I'm leaning that way.

Onokussu is speculated as an insect in the list so thats the translation I went with... I just went with the list not with actual facts... Cool off your Ononokusu addiction... o.o

On the one called Kanbaneri I don't think we're getting an angel. A quick dictionary glance gives me:

Kanba: "bronco, unruly horse"

And I'm guessing that neri = "nelly" (as in "whoa, nelly!") so I'm guessing a horse of some kind.

Rapidash is strong enough on it's own. I mean, it's not to the point that it can be used competitively, but not every Pokemon has to meet up to those standards. I personally think that Rapidash is fine on it's own and doesn't really need an evo. .__.;

I want it not for the stats but for the looks :D!

It could be an angel Pokemon. "Ban" translates (depending on how it's written) to either "evening" or "watch; guard". "Kan" can translate to "emperor" or "recommend; advise" or "intuition". It does fit the idea of an angel Pokemon. A guardian who gives advice. Yeah, that's one role of an angel. Maybe the "ban" could mean Dark, but I think that's pushing things, hoping for a fallen angel.

And I'm fully willing to be corrected on my very weak Japanese skills if I'm wrong.

I'm also surprised at the lack of an angel Pokemon. Unless it was being avoided to not offend anyone. But I'd like to see one.

That's what I, and others, went by as well. And since I really want to see an angel Pokemon, I stuck with that and didn't think of breaking the name down in other ways like Scarf did.

Another horse Pokemon does seem more likely than an angel though. Since Game Freak is going to try and avoid another Jynx fiasco, though they should just do what Twilight Sky suggested and just create Pokemon.

I would like a evolution of Rapidash like some of you are saying. Mostly for looks because Rapidash's stats are already kick butt.

I share it too. Rapidash already has good stats. It doesn't need stat improvement. (Just a slightly better move pool.) This supposed horse Pokemon should stand alone, since I'd like to see as much separation from previous Pokemon as the new generation can get.

Just because a horse is a horse doesn't mean it's a fire horse of course.

If it is related to Ponyta it should be a split evo... that way it can have its own stats and not overdo Rapidash.

Move pool wise, yes. But Speed and Attack are base 100/105. It just needs the attacks necessary to make use of those stats. It got some in D/P/Pt, without a new evolution.

Still, there are a lot of Pokemon in the NU tier. Should all of them get evolutions?

THOUGH I do recall a rumour of this trio having a cotton-like Pokemon.

They're probably fake. Serebii.net mentions that there have been fake Pokemon images going around, so I wouldn't be surprised if those two were part of that.
