5th Gen Official Rumours Thread

Well actually I'll change this a little, and discuss is Ononokusu is Isshu's P-L.
Kibago is also supossed to have an evolution that has yet to be revealed, and if Kibago's evo goes into Ononkusu, then it has a strong case as the P-L.
I also wonder how many dragons we will see in the Isshu Dex.

Kanto had 3
Johto had 4
Hoenn had 8 (yikes)
Sinnoh had 3, 4 in platinum.
I hope to see around 5 dragons in Isshu

Are you sure those numbers aren't off? I counted 9 in Hoenn, 4 in Kanto, none in Johto, and 6 in Sinnoh. 19 dragons all-together. Then again I'm counting the dragons that were made in that generation, and appeared in the games as well. You may have counted differently. XD

I'm slightly leaning towards Kibago not evolving into Ononokusu. They do have similar colors, tusks, and even their body-type is similar.. the short arms, short legs and long body. But, for some reason Ononokusu reminds me more of a scorpion standing upright than a dragon. His armor plating, his tusks and his sharp-ended tail remind me a lot of Drapion.

Johto had 1- Kingdra
Hoenn had 9- Rayquaza, Lati@s, Bagon family, Altaria, Vibraba and Flygon.
Sinnoh had 6- Dragon trio, and the Garchomp family

Oh my bad, I counted Kingdra into Kanto haha. Silly Horsea evo. D;
I was right everywhere else unless you wanna count Arceus as a Dragon type as well.

I wonder if we should continue the Kibago-Ononokusu discussion in the evolution thread since it's pretty popular in here..

Kibago to Ononokusu was actually listed in PokeJungle's most recent rumours posted here, so it counts, just so you know.
 
Oh, I meant a middle evolution too :x Just...because we don't know the name of it, I kind of skipped it. XD; But if it's true, yes, a middle evolution.
 
...no, the rumour was just Kibago > Middle > Ononokusu. If we knew more about the rumoured middle Pokemon we'd be discussing it. XD;

IT could be just like Pupitar because Kibago looks like Larvitar and Ononokusu looks like Tyranitar.

I agree with you it would make sense.

@ Mistah Im betting it will resemble Gabite more so than Pupitar because, mostly because Pupitar isnt a dragon type. Its "Tusks" will be an in between stage, so longer, probably more threatening than Kibago, but not as developed as Onokusu
 
I doubt Kibago evolves into Ononokusu they don't look alike at all IMO, I think Kibago evolves into a bigger scarier version of itself (duh lol) and then Into something like Garchomp

I think it's too soon to say wether or not Kibago will evolve into Dragon/Scorpion-dragon-thing. It all depends on the middle evolution if there is one.

If there isn't, I don't think Kibago will evolve into it. Just because..I wouldn't like it?

Plus, it looks like a Dragon/Bug type. Kibago looks like it will remain Dragon.

Well the rumor of Kibago's line said that the Axe dragon is pure dragon, it remains pure dragon all the way...
 
Well yeah I guess there's a chance Kibago will evolve into Ononokusu IMO like 10%

IMO there's a 50% chance Mamepato will evolve into Wargle but Wargle looks way too different than Mame but they're both birds so yeah and Wargle reminds me of Staraptor who was last gens bird so maybe

And Mamepato becoming Swana?!? No way I totally doubt it... But anythings possible (Magikarp > Gyarados, Ramoraid> Octillery etc)
 
To me it looks like Kibago will have a mid-evolution the change to Ononokusu is a huge change. Just my opinion, I think it'll be the pseudo of this region and have a mid-evolution. c:

Because Gyarados looks just like Magikarp...

But, yeah. Basically the idea was that Onokusu will be the first pseudo with one evolution, from Kibago, is Rock/Dragon, and Kibago is super weak. Like, almost Sunkern weak, and evolves really late.

More speculation than rumor, I suppose.
