On the computer, have you ever had something ask you to update, you did so, and you really regretted later?

Asking this cause Scott updated his WLM and now he can't draw, or view webcam... which is sorta fail for me. XD;

I initially regretted updating IE in 2007 or something. The version before that was much faster, but now...I like FF.

Very rarely do I ever regret updating something. Usually, updates dont break things so I feel that it is foolish to fear them, especially if you keep your computer backed up.

That being said, it is easier to experiment on your machine when it is not being used in mission critical operations anytime soon.

Actually, I have hardly had any issues with updates. I only select the ones I know are relevant to security.

On some programs I don't usually update them, because why would they want to be updated if they're working just fine? I know that if I do, the program becomes unusable anymore. Of course, I do windows update. It annoys me everytime.

Due to my product key malfunctioning, I have to crack my computer's OS whenever I install it, so I have to watch out for any and all updates to WAT (Windows Activation Technologies).

If you're talking about specific programs and not the OS, usually I'll go ahead and update it. If I don't like what they've done, I can just grab a previous version though FileHippo.

Speaking of which, sometimes iTunes updates will break software on my computer like iFunBox (iPhone/iPod touch file browser) due to iTunes putting it's files in a different location than last time, causing the file browser program to error out since it can't find the file.

Yea, I accidentally updated my Computer settings and now theres a Parental Block and my dad won't get rid of it. (Each time I try to download something it asks for my dads password -.-)

I have no problem with updating things, so I always update them. If something does go wrong, I will just get the previous version.
