Hey guys, I remember my cousin telling me that back in Gold and Silver there was a function that let you replay NPCs of real people you've fought before, you had to find them and they were usually in their own little houses. They kept all their Pokemons with the same levels and you could fight them once a day/week I think, as a form of training.

What happened to this function? anyone know?

Edit: It was the last person you fought over link battle.

The opportunity to re-battle friends in the Trainer House is still available and you can have up to ten friends (not sure if it includes awesome Cal, as I would never want to overwrite him). I think you can get them into your game by mixing records or something.

You get them by meeting others with your Pokewalker that I assume you have. xD
You connect and another person connects and you mix somehow, that's what it says on Seribii.

Yes, as said it's there, only you mix records via interacting with other people's PokeWalkers with yours rather than Mystery Gift now, you can have up to 10 people, no exp but you get BP for winning. (Max level pokes can be are 50, including yours - they get automatically shifted).
