I like the new Team Rocket :]

The old Team Rocket annoyed me greatly after the Johto series. The only thing that I do miss from them is the blasting off.
 
I haven't watched Best Wishes yet, but I loved Team Rocket...at least when Eric Stuart still did the voice of James. The slightly seductive way he said his name, his creepy laugh, and somewhat flamboyant personality were awesome.
I also enjoyed Team Rocket's constant destruction of the fourth wall.

It's possible that we're talking about different people. I'm talking about a former producer that actually did die.

Anyways, I think a compromise between between seriousness and silliness is possible. TR has proved this before. I like how the new TR doesn't mess with Ash every episode, that should have happened a long time ago. I'm just mainly concerned about their lack of personality, like many others here.
 
Having watched some more DP episodes, I want Old Rocket back!!! There so funny. I don't watch BW but I watched the 1st 2 episodes and they seem really serious. I miss their gags. They made the show hilarious. So yeah, unlike what I'd think, I prefer the old Rocket.
 
While watching the earlier episodes, I got really annoyed at Team Rocket, and I would have liked them to quit with their motto and silly plans. But now, they are just boring. They have tiny 30 second sections in most episodes, and they don't do anything. Obviously this is leading up to something big, but really, old team rocket was the best, besides some slapstick and small puns, they were the only good humor in the show.
 
Old Team Rocket, for the nostaligia and for the fact that i'm used to them over this new team.

Couldn't they of done this for Team Plasma and kept the old Team Rocket?
 
I prefer the New Team Rocket. The old one always messed things up, even though it was funny. I've always prefered maturity. Before bw I've alawys got bored at their motto and their fantasy of being promoted. Now they are really taking things seriously and it's more exciting.
 
Old team Rocket is better, they would make some funny parts, they were also annoying but that's the part that makes it better.
 
Sweet! Old is ahead! After watching that video, I don't see how anyone can prefer the new personalities. Sure, it's cool to see them being more of a success but they're just not the same. I used to live for their scenes when I was younger. Even if they did always have the same goal and the same finish, they never failed to amuse me.
 
What about the old OLD Team Rocket, like back when they just had Ekans and Koffing? They were my favorite.
 
Oh noes, TR changes? I guess it was bound to happen. I never made it past the Orange Islands as a kid, and I'm re watching the show now, trying to get through every episode. Right now I'm in the middle of season 4, the Johto League Champions, I think.

I absolutely adore TR right now. They are by far my favorite characters in the show. It bothers me that their personality is different in the newer episodes, but I really hope they start actually winning from time to time now!
 
Honestly, I like the change. I didn't mind the old Team Rocket (well, for the most part), but they were getting pretty boring after like 13 seasons (even though I only watched like a quarter of the total episodes).

But yeah, it did seem kinda weird that they underwent a total personality change over like two episodes. Not that this show is super-realistic or anything in the first place, but still.

Anyways, maybe the english dub will make their dialogue a little more light-hearted and goofier anyway?
 
I like the older ones better.... now it's like..... :/ NOT them... ya know? It's just NOT team rocket. Where's the funny?
 
As long as they are comedic-but-competent, then I have no issues with the change. I just wish they did this, years sooner.

(Cue SBaby, assuming he is still around, with the proper culture reference to back up my point with comedic-though-competent villains. If not, I'll think of something I wake up. Although, Kim Possible's Shego might be the closest in modern times, as she was both.)
 
I definitely prefer the new serious TR. They just seem way more badass, while in the older episodes they were kind of annoying, appearing in every episode, with the same plan, to steal the freakin' pikachu....
I am honestly looking forward to see what they will do with this new approach they're taking with Team Rocket.
Gives the show more depth, IMO.
