I guess why dont you prune any of the unused data to make it faster? I just wondering.

Because our problem isn't the older data (mind you, quite a lot of people use it), it's the massive influx of members visiting every day. Besides, as I said, people (such as myself) like looking at the older threads/posts, and the mods use it for evidence when it comes to warning/banning people.

And the memories... there are some truly precious moments there... which reminds me, I can't get into the old PC (REFRENCE or REFERENCE if you fixed the spelling) for some reason...

Jade: If I remember right Steve once said that all the posts and members isn't what's slowing down PC and making all the DB errors.
Just don't quote me on that because I'm not 100% sure. XD
But if I'm right pruning the members and posts isn't going to help anything.

JA: So true, the memories of PC.
The reason why the old PC isn't up is because Steve doesn't have a license for it. vB wanted him to shut it down because he had the new PC and the old PC on the same license and they didn't like that. Or something like that (I don't see what's it hurting, it's not like people are posting in the forum).

Well, the thing is, like JA said, there are great memories here at PC, and the old data needs to be kept for reasons. Like if an old thread needed to be looked into for an important reason, I think the old data needs to be kept. Without it, most members would forget the good times here. ^____^
