yeah but as its quite high lvl being at 50
doesnt it mean that it still wont be as strong
as a pokemon that was lvl'ed with XP and getting the EV points?

How many Rare Candy were they given?
do you have any low lvl'ed Shiny Pokemon?

The fact that they are 50 has no affect on whatever EVs you would want to train them in at all. Let's say you started speed training a pokemon at 50, and just killed the last magikarp to be done with speed training. If you level up to 51 ( rare candy or by any other means i believe ) then the pokemon will still receive the EVs you trained into it.

It's just EV training on a clean slate. Except a higher level clean slate.

Both of these pokemon were received from a good friend of mine, and the beldum he gave me was level 51 from swarm chaining. I rare candied it myself to 53 for the metagross. The blastoise i believe was hatched and rare candied to a blastoise, however my friend received it as a blastoise at level 50 from someone else.

Munchlax doesn't know explosion it's selfdestruct.
