well the old rod in R/S is a lot better then the one in the old games! at least now you can catch more than Magikarp!

Yes it is very relieving knowing that you will not get a Magikarp every time you use the Old Rod. I don't remember where you get the Good and Super Rods at the moment. I'll have to go check my R/S Player's Guide...
