Hey all,

I used to be big into Pokemon back in the original Blue and Red and Yellow days, but now I am getting into alot more on my computer since I dont own a DS or a Gameboy anymore. But just figured I would stop by since I just started Gold ( First game since Red and Blue ) for pointers or anything about all these new "weird" Pokemon.

Oh my. The Red/Blue/Yellow days are my golden days of Pokemon. My first game was Red, and I played it all the time. So you just started trying out Gold? I say go for it. Silver was my favorite game from the GSC series. You'll enjoy it...and if you do get a DS soon, you should definitely play HG/SS, or even Black & White. I know it's going to be a bit hard to get used to the current generation, but you'll get through it! ^_^

Here at PC, we have tons of discussions about any Pokemon game...whether it's any of the spin-off games, or the current games today. The General Pokemon Gaming discussion boards may be of interest for you, since there's a board that has discussions about RBY.

Same here... ditto, nothing quite beats putting in that old Red/Blue Cartridge but I figured giving Gold Version a shot for the new story and stuff, I just get a little offended by the new Pokemon :P
