Well, it's possible that the parent DID know the move, but Solar Beam was on the top slot, the parent leveled and then learned a move that overwrote Solar Beam. Whenever you leave stuff in Daycare and they level and learn moves, it's always the top move that gets deleted first.

That's the only explanation I could think of.

can anyone explain me what mean chaining and rng abuse..? its easy to use or not...i want to try to get shiny pokemon..:(

Chaining is when you encounter the same Pokémon many times in a row using the Poké Radar.

RNG stands for Random Number Generator. RNG allows us to manipulate the game's mechanism to obtain perfect pokemon.

I'm really bored >.>

word from the wise, don't try to chain. It's incredibly luck based and annoying and it takes forever and I could never get a chain higher than 12 and you need like 40 or something to max the probability. Not worth it.

Hey angelxavier are you feeling any better now? Heard about your accident.

Actually it's not if you've read the right guide and concentrate. That's what the poke radar is for and your friendrivalthing even drops huge hints on successful chaining :) It's more of observation, use of the in game app that shows your chaining count, and a good deal of practice! My first chain was a shiny Absol!

I can't get past 21 Pokemon on my Radar >.>

I love the idea, but when you get really skilled, you just get a lot of shinies. It makes ot just easy to catch otherwise rare Pokemon.

I don't have much demand for my Pokes anyway. I only distribute my own 'mons for safety purposes since I once traded others' hacked Pokemons without me knowing that they were hacked. >.>
Plus I can't clone so I can't keep up multiple demands for 1 Pokemon.

Ohh :o Well you could try new methods :D Or reopen after you can clone. But I think the fact you can't makes them seem more rare and of a higher value :o

Trust me, none of what you said was news to me. I read plenty of guides and I know how to do it. But after awhile I just step on the wrong type of grass or something or I step on the right one and my chain is still broken. It's a matter of probability no matter how many guides you read, unless you just chain Shinx on route whatever. But still, it's too much probability spaced out over 40 pokemon, RNG abuse is so much simpler and better.

Maybe? ._.
Haven't got a demand of any of my Pokemon now though.
By demand, I mean that there is a good offer for any of my Pokemon.
I think it's just I've played Pokemon in the DS too late so mostly everyone probably got what they wanted and most of them know how to RNG Abuse.

I have to agree on this. I haven't tried chaining but seeing those guides created for chaining was just tl;dr. I think RNG Abuse methods take me 5~15 minutes to get the seeds, bar the time to hatch eggs. For stationary legends, it usually takes me 10~30 minutes depending on my target frame. *I had a 1000+ frame targets* >.>

For every good offer you'll get 10 bad ones. Things are kind of slow anyways. I'm sure once B/W comes out things will get a lot more active. In the mean time you could EV train a couple of more pokes in your collection. There's a lot of potential there.

Potential for my Pokemons, Laziness for me. lol.
B/W is still a so-so for me because I'm still not used to how they look like. They just look so un-Pokemon-ish. Maybe when I buy my retail (have no plans on playing it in an Flash Cart or Emulator), I'll be interested to do more Pokemon gaming. D:

You could always find someone to help you train them. As for gen V mons, I'm not too crazy about all of them either (someone please explain Maggyo to me -.-), but there are still a few new toys to play with. Dream World Abilities, new moves, rotation/triple battles...something for the whole family to enjoy!

Maggyo is amazing, Dream World changed the metagame so much, and whoever enjoys triple battles needs to be stabbed in the face. That has to be the worse part about gen5.

I don't really get RNG abuse 8c I find chaining easier. At least that's my opinion :P And my highest shinx chain was 34 but it was a shiny female >x> *kicked it* I gave it to my friend instead of keeping it |c And yeah that happens. It's actually some in depth mathematical process that I really didn't bother getting into ;A; Ugh shinnnx
