I need lots of help choosing my Starter! First poster's opinion I will go with! Reply quickly! I'm in sooo much neeeeeed!​

Chimchar and for the first gym catch an abra and train it. Then after the first gym you chimchar will keep owning :D

Chimchar, most useful because there are only a few fire pokemon in D/P and it has a type advantage against the first few gym leaders. Secondly it's final evolution is the strongest out of all 3 starters and an amazing sweeper for competitive battling.

 

[PIKACHU DOES KUNGFU!]

Piplup, fo' sho! He/she (depending on which you get) has more rounded stats, and it does better off against most of the gyms. :)
