76. I've spent many hours of my life poring over paper copies of organization-wide rosters and depth charts for MLB The Show in the past, trying to make sure I have the depth I need within the salary limitations I was afforded, as well as ditching players who didn't have any potential. There's a lot of numbers to play with in roster modes of sports games, even in games where playing games of the sport the game is based off of is actually the core focus of the game.

And then many sports games have great and catchy soundtracks because they're big revenue projects that can afford to license many, many songs.

Madden '05 introduced me to Tech N9ne's - The Beast. NFL GameDay '02 introduced me to Soundgarden's Like A Stone. NBA Live introduced me to a lot of less well known hip-hop artists, and '03's version actually came with a CD of most of the game's soundtrack. MLB 09 The Show introduced me to Hockey's Work, and FIFA '06 introduced me to LCD Soundsystem's Daft Punk is Playing At My House, to name a few.

Speaking of Strategy games, me and a friend were playing some Warcraft 3 yesterday. It was years since we played the actual game and not just messing around with custom maps, and after building my basic structures, I FORGOT TO BUILD MY ALTAR OF STORMS after my Rax and my War Mill since i was busy massing more peons and Orc Burrows (Supply depots for those who do not know), and considering how Blizzo RTS games are, you mess up your build order, you get shanked so hard, even if you don't see it coming early.

I was tilted that day.. of course we lost straight up because of a poor build order on my part. Delayed tech, late acquisition of the hero unit, etc.. Feels bad man. it didn't help that me and my friend were playing against our two other friends who are both SC and War3 veterans.

@ Lipstick Vogue How about KSI's Tots Packings?

u wot m8.

Fifa really did have great music in the 90s-mid 00s, haven't heard a lot of the recent stuff buy you'd thing it'd still be decent. EA obviously have the money but that doesn't always mean good selections.

Think they did their best work putting together the NFSU2 soundtrack. That game was good too.

Ah, I loved Starcraft II. That was a great game, honestly. These days though, I'm really into Sid Meier's Civilization (V). Can't really say I'm all that good at it but I'm really enjoying it nonetheless. xP

So Blizzard has covered pretty much whatever genre they can get their hands on. Action RPG, RTS games, an MMORPG, a cardgame, A moba, and a Team based FPS. I wonder what Blizzo would try doing next.. A racing game? A sports game? A hack n slash game? or even a JRPG style game?

Is torrent/cracking bad?
In what sense?

God, PS1 games look so dated now...
Yeeah, the PS1 was definitely one of the harder to look at generations, mostly due to how games were generally styled because Polygons and Sony does what Nintendon't. So it's generally a lot more bearable to play something on the 64 than the PS1. Fun times. Part of why I don't look back too fondly on that system- also because most of my PS1 games were played on a PS2.

And not so ironically, most of my favorite games from that era were 2D. Gundam Battle Assault 2 and Digimon World 3 were love.

I just have a hard time remembering the days when these blocks were considered cutting edge is all, aha. I miss the days when we had limited processing power...it meant developers actually had to focus on gameplay rather than making things as pretty as possible.

Looking at you, Square Enix.
