Sweet Jesus , Floatzel will kill you all ! ...
Urrgh , I mean , we gonna drown up in hereif Game Frwak won't bring up a few more fire types ...

Here is my Top 3 Fire (which is getting killed :0 ) :

1.Blaziken (no comment...)
2.Flareon (how can you not like it ? )
3.Arcanine (oh yeah , badass dog , baby !)

I agree with the Ghost and Dark forgetting ... *is screaming for a Sableye evo !* .

I actually went through my water box and removed all the dual types and it's still almost full! Yea we are drowning in them. I think we need more fire, electric, non legendary dragons, and maybe some more dark types.

Yes. And I agree, we need some more Fire types:/ I like Arcanine, and Houndoom, but those are seriously like my only choices for a sweet fire type sit in:p (Besides the starters)

We need to get some gatorade pokemon to help rectify this awful situation.

Insert random filler here.

I just did a little more research, folks.

It turns out that 48 of the 92 water pokemon there are happen to be single-type!

That's OVER 50%. 92 / 2 = 46.

Not only do water pokemon overpopulate, they don't even have diversity in half the population!

As I said, there are so few good Water-Type, we need 92+ just to squeeze what, 10 usable lines. Starters, Kingdra, Gyarados, Starmie, Quagsire (iffy), and a few legendaries... out of 92 water type? There's more quality to the smaller groups I think, that's why there are fewer pokemon in them.

well of course it makes perfect senese.u do know that there are a lot of water creatures in earth so that much water pokemons are fairly normal

yh toooooooo many water types. definitely need more kwl fire types and personally i think that more electric types would be kwl and also dragon.not many water pokemon are kwl only gyarados although i prefer pokemon that look like dragons i mean come on imagine charizard but electric itd be awesome XD. charizard psychic also. chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!!!! XD

Think of it this way: By law of averages, then at least 19% of the time, having something that can light a lightbulb in your part is good for your health.

USABLE WATER TYPES: Starters (sans Blastoise, who is an inferior Starmie), Kingdra, Kyogre, Gyarados, Starmie, Palkia, Manaphy, Floatsel, Tentacruel, Slowbro, Vaporeon, Suicune, Milotic.

15 usable ones. And I'm being generous as to what is usable and what isn't. Although I didn't put Lapras or Walrein on the list, they go with Ludicolo in list 2.

WATER TYPES WITH A NICHE: Blastoise, Poliwrath, Kingler, Kabutops, Azumarril, (although if that Aqua Jet tutor fell through, he'd be first list) Lanturn, Slowbro, Quagsire, Gastrodon, Octillery, Ludicolo, Walrein, Lapras, Relicanth, Biberal (taking BPs from Ninjask is indeed a niche).

15 again. Now for the third (and second to last) list.

WATER TYPES WITH SOME USE IN NU: Golduck, Poliwhirl (yep, an NFE is better than some of them), Dewgong, Cloyster, Omastar, Politoad, Quilfish, Mantine, Sharpedo, Wailord, Crawdawnt, Clamperl (ladies and gentlemen, the NFE better than it's fully evolved form!), Gorbyriss, Lumineon, Phione.

14. The rest are complete jokes. (Special mention to Squirtle being common in LC and LC Ubers)

Yup. Lame indeed. I'm hoping for more Fire and Ice variety with generation five.
Heck, I fan art fake Pokemon that are rarely waters. If they are, they are usually evolutions.

I'm liking how my two evolutions of Luvdisc turned out. They look awesome.

I knew there was a lot of water types, but 1/5th of the Pokedex?
Good gracious. x.x;

In my opinion there needs to be more Dark and Ghost types.
There isn't really that many compared to the other types..
No more Steel types either. D8 They resist far too much with their haxxy selves. ;;

I certainly wouldn't mind a Psychic/Dark type either.

Oh well. You know why there's so many?

Because of Hoenn.

Still, i do think there should be more fire-types.But no more dragons. They're good rare.

Although my team currently has two waters (Swampert and Mantine), I am generally not in favor of training water types. I prefer to train Fire types, as the potential burn is a boon for me. Swampert is one of the better Water types, due to its high defensive stats and a high Attack stat.

Fire types definitely have become scarce. Flint's team in Diamond/Pearl was simply pathetic (I mean, Lopunny? Flint, is that really the best you can do?), and although they did rectify it in Platinum, they only recycled older Fire-types from older generations. That is pathetic.

I could see the merits of having more Dragon-types in Gen V, but I don't think that they should be... well, uber. In whatever games they premier to kick off Gen V, they should have a few weaker Dragon-types, and then a hard-to-find but really powerful pseudo-legendary.

I'm not one for other types, but more variety would be nice.
