Tourney scene, what's in:
Affinity
Goblin Bidding
Tooth and Nail (Elf&nail is gone)
UW Control
Crystal Shard (deck)
GFC Freshmaker
Slide (normal R/W slide)
mono-green
Shackles deck (?????)
No changes to decks other than slide probably SBing out the Damping Matrixes. Tooth and Nail probably would be back to 12post style in type 2 due to the fact that Slide now also uses green. UW control is considered one of the big dogs along with goblin bidding (which is in its normal form now). Affinity will probably be playing fireworks, taking the last of the rock-paper-scissors slot.
Finally, I'm adding to this list! YEAH! Crystal shard decks run 4 eternal witnesses. They also run a heck of a lot of counterspells and removal. The kill combo probably will come from just little hacks from different creatures (e.g. solemn simulacrum). so basically it's a control deck with massive removal and countering so you can safely go through for 10 turns to win. lol
GFC Freshmaker is the new red/green deck that runs sloggers (COMEBACK!), removal, and eternal witnesses. Really, the only difference between shard deck and freshmaker is that the coutnerspells are taken out for burn cards and the red creatures from freshmakers are replaced with artifact creatures in shard decks. I know, they're pretty much the same thing, but they're REALLY that good.
MONO GREEN MAKES A COMEBACK! Yup, it's finally here, the beacon, the echoing courage, the massive amounts of artifact removal. It's all back in action. Basically this deck kills artifacts before slapping the beacon onto the field, then echoing courage for a heck of a lot of damage. Very strong and placed a strong finish in some tourneys (well not as strong as GFC Freshmaker and Shard decks).
I'm not sure whether to put the shackles deck in or not, but it probably is a contender. it's basically a march of the machines deck with shackles to steal stuff. It's got the usual UW control stuff long with it, also. It's a deck to be reckoned with (I guess you can call it a UW variation).
What's not in Tourney:
Elf&Nail (no clamp)
Cemetery Cloud (no clamp)
White Weenies (no clamp)
any rogue deck that used clamp
Creature Slide
Sorry, but creature slide will NOT BE MAKING A COMEBACK! BOO!!!!!!!! Well i'll still be playing creature slide. lol
Casual, what's in:
Sunburst decks
stuff involving us johnnies lol
Auriok Champion decks (multiplay)
Combo decks
Shackle decks (those are FUNNY)
What's not:
The usual tourney stuff lol
