First let's fix these typos XD

Forum Advance Generation Games (GBA) should be Advanced Generation Games (GBA)

Forum Metal and Color Generation Games (GB/GBC) should be Metal and Color Generations Games (GB/GBC)

Grammar Nazi stuff aside, time for the real suggestions.

Some time ago there was a feature implemented that allowed the friend codes of different games that the member owned by hovering over its icon like the Skype and IM icons at the bottom/right of the postbit. I don't know why it was removed but I think it'd be good to bring back

Also, taking advantage that we have Skype and Twitter ones, a few for Facebook and Myspace or some other sites should also be implemented. Similar Icons to the IM and Gaming ones. I'd think it be just a little nice thing to have.

No, it's Advance, as in Game Boy Advance. And while MCG may be wrong, it has a little bit of a unique flare to it as it is. There's only one spelling mistake in there that I'd fix.

Also, tons and tons of Friend Thumbnail Thingies (tm) might get a bit cluttered, but if you could get a ton under one thing, it might work. Frankly it makes more sense to keep them restricted to the user profile, if not in sigs.

Grammar Nazi aside, are you talking about this (bottom of the post bit)?

In the forum description "Advanced Generation" is clearly stated.

Or if the Thumbnails don't work, a part for that info in the About Me of the Profile would work, like the Twitter one.

I'll get back to you once I'm out of my school filter, I can't see the picture, but I do mean in the Legacy style the part below all the info below the avatar and I think in Standard it's well to the right below the info.

I'm all for this. It would be quite nice to see some Friend Code icons as well as icons for the major social networks...since it IS a huge pain to have to code that into your signature if you seriously want to share things like your tweets or Facebook page.

I think Friend Codes could be combined into a single click-able icon that would link you straight to either a pop-up where the friend codes to every game that person cares to share with PC can be placed. The same thing can be achieved with the PC family. If a popup is too much work, then it can simply be a link.

I notice that simplistic signatures with minimal text is all the rage right now, and I think it might also be nice to include some tiny icon that allows even your PC family to be included. Honestly I think that system should be officially embraced...people still do it. It's about time for the staff to wake up and include that in the postbit as well. It'd make things a lot less cluttered, and you won't have to be such a CSS wizard to cram all that information into a reasonable space.

^This. I think it would be absolutely wonderful; especially for those with big families like myself. If it weren't for [title] tags I would be lost. XD
I also think it would be cool to have a bit for your pair(s) on there. I think pairing deserves a bit of acknowledgment, seeing as how it has been around for... ever. :3

No they are beautiful gorgeous flawless etc go away

Kidding. I say fix the forum description for adv gen and leave Metal/Color alone because generations and games both end with s and it looks weird. /is not a grammar Nazi like I once was

That's all I wanted to say, since those are my children you're talking about.

In a profile... maybe. But PC family and that kind of stuff will never go in the postbit. It's importance to PC is a little less than minimal, and we don't need to cram up the neat, organized postbit with that kind of stuff when it can just as easily go in the profile. It's just not something people need to see. We don't need to clutter up the postbit with facebook and twitter and all that when we have profiles.

As for the friend code thing, I think the original thing was Ausaudriel's work, though I could be wrong. Regardless, I didn't work on it so I can't really comment. Though honestly, is putting that kind of stuff in your sig that much of an issue (spoiler: the answer is no)? Oo

Side note from someone who is, but you're correct. Because the entire thing ("Metal and Color Generation games") is a noun phrase and not just a series of nouns, you pluralize the last word in it only. To make it a bit clearer, you're not saying you've got a generation and a game. You're saying you've got a bunch of X games. Or, even clearer, you're saying that Metal and Color Generation are the name of an entire set but the fact that games is plural is what indicates that there's multiple components to it (including generations), if that makes sense.

tl;dr, you're not supposed to have an S at the end of "generation" because you're not done with the noun phrase at that point. Putting an S there would be redundant.

The D, meanwhile, could go either way because it's a name (that has been spelled with a D in Pokémon canon), so... yeah.

I think by having more icons than there are currently will make it look cluttered.
I have seen sites that have all our existing icons as well as others, it is just looks a mess.

Why would you want to have social website icons when, I bet, a lot of people wouldn't want to put their personal information on the site. I am sure there was a discussion not so long ago, that commented on people not wanting others to know their actual name, so this defeats the point of it. Just one example.

tl;dr version, I think it would look cluttered and isn't really needed. Just ask if you want them and I don't particularly want people stalking my social websites.

Yes, they are. The color generations refer to Pokemon Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. They had 151 Pokemon, and that was the first Generation. Pokemon Silver. Gold and Crystal were referred to as generation two because it introduced 100 new Pokemon. Remember that a new generation is defined to as when a Pokemon game that is released has new species of Pokemon, so they referred to as the "Metal and Color Generations".
Written like that, it would be correct. However as "Metal and Color Generation Games", "Metal and Color Generation" becomes an adjective. This is the English language, so adjectives do not change to suit the noun. You have "Color Generation Games" + "Metal Generation Games" = "Metal and Color Generation Games"

Also, "Advance Generation Games" is entirely correct. They may well be "advanced" in nature, but certainly not by name. We are deriving the name from the Gameboy Advance. Therefore "Advanced" changes the meaning completely.

Please don't try to create errors in things that were fine to start with.
