    Hey,

what do you think is better, to play the game with one or two Pokemon or with a team?

i was really proud that i trained four pokemon steady during the story.. normally i only really trained my starter.. this is also because of the wild pokemon you encounter early in the game are much cooler that he ones in the previous games

    i trained a whole team >.<

    usually in sapphire
i only trained blaziken to lvl 70
while my other critters were only lvl 30

    the E4 almost pwned me

I use mainly 1 pokemon. I have just restarted Emerald and am only using my Cumbusken. I have done 2 gyms and it is level 25. I only start to build a team after i have completed the game.

Well, I USED To have like a lvl 70-80 pokemon heading, normally my starter with the others in their 20s, but recently, I've done even levels, currently finished the 4th gym in my diamond with a team of 6 =P

My pearl I had a team of 5 til after i beat the E4

I've already trained teams since 1st gen. I find I do a lot better that way.

    I always train a team of 3.
Then i can focus on a few pokes so they're high levels, but i only use pokes I like...
My team on Pearl right now is Charmeleon, Slowpoke, Dratini, still training them though. Dragonite is one of my favorite pokes, while I like the other two a lot. (Charizard/Slowbro)

Only once did I nor train a team, and that was back in the olde R/B/Y days...

I have been training team since the 2nd generation. I started training a team after the E4 thrashed me utterly in the 1st generation

What do you mean by "better"? I think training two or three pokemon (as long as they're not too high to disobey you) will get you through the game faster since their attacks will deal much higher damage except on enemies with high defenses that aren't weak to your types. Some battles will be superhard because of that, and most battles will be easy.

Having said that, I always prefer to train a team. Everyone on my team was the same level when I faced the E4. This way, all battles are medium, which is how I prefer it.

I say a team, because like that you lose a lot of type disadvantages that you'd get with having only one or two Pokémon.

Definetly a team, if anything get a group or four with as little weaknesses as possible.

...what exactly is the point of using just two Pokemon? Any competent trainer has a full team. They might not necessarily have to use all six, but at least they're there for the battle options.

Laziness = failure. Many people who challenge me don't seem to get the clue about this.

I use a whole team, even though im tempted to make a turtwig giant and forget about my other boring guys.
