Opponent HP Confusion in Gates to Infinity

Hi, I'm a noob at Pokemon and just picked up Gates to Infinity to start. I have played some Pokemon long ago and remember being able to see my opponents HP while battling. I can't seem to figure out how to see my opponent's HP in this game. Should I be able to see it? How do I know what attack I want to use next if I can't see how many HP the opponent has left?

Like in past Mystery Dungeon games, you don't see the opponent's HP in Gates to Infinity.
