Original iPhone Activation

    One of my friends gave me an original iPhone he needs activated. But he does not want a data plan with it. So I am wondering if anybody has advice on how to get this iPhone activated without adding a data plan. I am open to BOTH Windows and Mac solutions.
     
    What firmware is it running on? What SIM are you using? And with the iPhone EDGE, it should be fairly easy, given all of the iOS exploits work on it.

    I've never unlocked an iPhone, 'cause I hate AT&T (Go Sprint!)
    But I have an iPod touch MC 4.0 jailbroken w/ sn0wbreeze.

    I got it. I used pwnage tool on the Mac and all went well.
