    Gliscor @ Leftovers
    Sand Veil
    252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe done
    ~ Stealth Rock
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ U-turn
    ~ Taunt

Firstly Im starting with a Gliscor as it can basically stand up against most leads. Stealth rock is obvious, Earthquake so it can actually pose a threat against leads such as heatran .I have chosen Taunt as i have no other taunters, also to try prevent my opponent setting up SR as i currently dont have a rapid spinner. Roost has been taken out and u-turn has been added due to your suggestions which make this guy more reliable as a lead.

    Scizor @ Choice Band
    Technician - Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
    248 Hp/252 Atk/12 Spe
    ~Bullet Punch
    ~Superpower
    ~Pursuit
    ~U-Turn

Basic CB Scizor. Has some good synergy with other members of the team such as Gliscor, Gengar, tyranitar and vaporeon.

    Tyranitar(M)@Babiri Berry
    Sandstream
    4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
    Jolly (+Spd -SAtk)
    -Dragon Dance
    -Fire Punch
    -Stone Edge
    -Crunch

This guy is my main physical sweeper as it shares a nice synergy with Gliscor and can also wreak havoc after atleast one DD. Fire punch is Here for Scizor mainly as currently im pretty scizor weak. Stone edge and crunch for stab.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Machamp@Leftovers
    Adamant: No Guard
    252 AT, 4 SP, 252 HP
    - Dynamic Punch
    - Stone Edge
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

My Ttar Check/steel check, Annoyer, semi absorber, only real rock resister and hard hitting mofo.
Other than the above im not hugely sure on this pokemons contribution to the team as i havent really tested it all that much.

    *bulbagarden.net image removed*
    Vaporeon@Leftovers
    Bold
    188 HP / 252 Def / 68 Spe
    ~ Wish
    ~ Protect
    ~ Surf
    ~ Toxic

Previously i had tentacruel in this slot but it just wasnt cutting it and i realised the loss of rapid spin wasnt hugely damaging to my team as nobody is completely SR weak. Wish support has done alot for me so far surf is obviously there for stab and coverage my other pokes miss and toxic seems to go quite well with sandstorm, Vaporeons stall abilities and my teams general bulk.

    Heatran@Choice Scarf
    Flash Fire - Timid
    252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    ~ Dragon Pulse
    ~ Fire Blast
    ~ Explosion
    ~ Earth Power

This spot used to be occupied by gengar but from your suggestions i have now worked to replace him by obtaining a timid heatran from platinum. The prefered Nature according to smogon was naive/rash due to the fact that they dont lower explosions power but i am still content with the amount it will do even with a 10% reduction. It seems to function well as it swallows any fire attacks aimed at scizor or any burns directed at my more physical based team. Dragon pulse for coverage seems fair as im lacking ice attacks and any other dragon moves, earth power also seems like a solid choice.

    Final Comments:

Like i have stated above i am playing over wifi and all the pokemon are bred legitimately(no use of pokesav). I appreciate any possible ways to improve greatly apart from any that suggest the use of hidden powers and pokemon that are not easily accessable nor legendaries.

    Thanks for reading.

Don't use gliscor as a lead as it gets outsped by the common aerodactyl and azelf lead with their taunt rendering you useless

Gliscor isn't a bad lead, just because it gets Taunted by Aero and Azelf doesn't mean it's useless.

Instead of Taunt you could run U-turn to break their sashes and then switch to something that can deal with them, like Scizor.

Anyway, Scarf Gengar is utter Pursuit-bait for Scizor and Tyranitar, the latter of which can simple absorb the trick and make you look silly. There are much better scarfers, aka Jirachi and Heatran.

Or better yet, U-Turn over Roost makes a cute lead. U-Turn on the Taunt and then go to Scizor @ bp. Losing Roost doesnt really make a difference since you own the things Gliscor walls anyway

Yeah don't use Scarfgar. Jira, Heatran are much better Scarfers. You can SR for Heatran and Jira was widely distributed as on wifi so yit shouldnt really be that hard to get.

Also bulk up that Machamp plz. 108 HP/142 Atk/252 Def/8 Spd @ Adamant. Lets you take hits from T-Tar and junk much better.

Thanks for the replies, i mainly used gengar due to it being easy to obtain never really liked its frailness nor the fact SS didnt help its already low hp it was added mainly for a fast thunderbolt, spin blocking ability and i guess levitate.
Unfortunatly for me my Jirachi i got over wifi was a lonely nature so not the best for a revenge killer or perhaps there is a moveset i could utilize to make it so? Heatran i may be able to get but wont i be very gyarados weak after i lose Tbolt on gengar and introduced a fire pokemon?

Secondly i will try the gliscor set suggested.

Bumped as i really am conscious of this team having a large gyarados weakness after i replaced gengar. Any suggestions of ways to improve (without dramatically changing the dynamic of the team cus im not using shoddy here!) or even some reasurance to a strategy that my current team can use to counter him? Thanks again

Vaporeon serves as a good hard counter. If possible, you could try and get Hidden Power ELECTRIC in place of Toxic, but I'd understand if you can't as it's for Wifi.
