I don't know how old y'all are, but I'm in my early twenties.

    But...

    For some reason...

I still love pokemon games xD I never played ruby/sapphyre. But with the whole internet thing and all, what we old blue/red players DREAMED for (raise your hand if you remember the old cables to hook two gameboys together, with all the wires for the dif gameboys, like gameboy color, normal, advanced xD), I came back when fireread/leafgreen were released, and they were loads of fun. I'm sorry but whoever came up for the idea to have the elite four have 2 stages, the second with their like level 60+ pokemon is a genius. In my opinion there should even be a 3rd stage! Why didn't people think of this before... it made the game amazing!

After my DS broke, I stayed away and now bought this for old times sake. I'm loving it. It brings back sooo many memories, long drives while trying to figure out all the puzzles in the backseat of my parents car! :)

I used to play it on my super nintendo, with a gameboy adapter... yeah I know... laugh at me if you must xD...

But now, in my twenties, it feels so embarassing to be playing the same game my 9 year old nephew is... ... ...

Which brings me to the pokewalker. My inside geek squeals with delight about it, but my outer adult is so embarassed someone will see the pokeball shaped device!

How do I explain to a date on a club that the reason I'm dancing a lot more than usual is because I want to gain more watts on my pokewalker? xD

    So how about you guys?

    Lol, I don't know what's so shameful about that. ; )

    Everybody's a kid inside. Hehe.

    I'm 17 tho. : D

    Don't Be Ashamed.
I know some people who Should be Ashamed, But not even they are, And they hardly go to school to play the game.

My friend failed 2 Grades, because he was busy putting hours in on his Sapphire alone!

Same, but even at our age we're bound to find people bashing us.

All I gotta say is: Just enjoy yourself and forget what other people think. If your date finds that unattractive, then tough luck bud. (unless you're obsessing over it, in which case stop playing now! Lol)

I'm new to Pokemon, and I'm also 25. My girlfriend got me into it very recently, and I've taken a very good liking to it. I've already logged about 120 hours on heart gold. XD

Yeah, you're probably right. But hey, it's cool to play Pokémon at our age... AND at the same time, literally BASH the people bashing us. : D : D

Lol.. Pokemon was a good friend to my geeky self when I was younger. If there's one thing I'm not ashamed of admitting is that I REALLY bonded with the game back then :) When I finally beat the elite four, it was a moment I'll never forget.

Those first days, when you didn't know what pokemon would show up, what they could do, the surprise of magikarp, running around in that darn forest for an ugly sprited pikachu xD I'll never forget my squirtle :)

On this game I'm doing a "Blue element" challenge, meaning either water or ice, normal pokemons allowed, only ice/water/normal moves, other moves allowed if not contrary to philosophy, meaning no fire moves, or things against the spirit of the challenge (examples: explosion &etc...) . I'm also leaning towards never evolving my pokemon unless they're something like magikarp... lol...

I'm still pondering whether surfing pikachu is okay xD

Once you're an Adult, people could care less, as long as you don't break the law you can be a witch for all they care.

Unfortunately, I'm 16, but people learned not to mess with me anymore after I whooped some ass.

Oh they're out there lol Thats why I never bring my DS to school. Aaaahhh shame xD

Oh poor me. I only play on an emulator. Oh well. : (

But hey I'm a college student, and I see a lot of older guys playing the DS. In school. During classes. ._.

Lol, love your team, mareep is just so cool... it'll be hard to continue with my blue element challenge... ... I also want a yellow team xD Ampharos was like THE pokemon when I played silver way back when, some punch attack that confused... dynamic punch?

I got into pokemon like 4 years ago. My friend gave me his blue and silver copies. I had played them before but not as seriously as 4 years ago. I've still never played 3rd gen games before =/

I'll be in college next semester so I guess I'll be fine then lmao bro you gotta get a real copy and a DS ; )

Lol I guess I can't right now, see my Mom's the only one working and I gotta prioritize my studies. : D

The amount of shame or embarrassment put on you for playing Pokemon peaks at about 16-17.

I'm 20 years old, I play Pokemon in my lectures/on the subway and don't have a problem telling people I'm doing so. Mature people really don't care. In fact it's a nice way to start a conversation (usually people respond with "wow, I remember playing that").

Pfff, I've been guilty of that. XD

    But that's just 'cause I was bored~

    Easy class anyway. XD;;

Ha, there's nothing wrong with it. As long as you pass the class.

THEY, on the other hand, failed it. xD

Pokemon is rated "E" for a reason. :D
Although I'm kinda embarrassed to tell others that I like Pokemon. :o
