Forgive me if there's already a thread discussing this but I tried my best and found nothing.

Has someone already ported the Overworld Wild Pokemon Encounter in Fire Red? It's already implemented in Pokemon Quetzal which is an Emerald ROM but wanted to check if it's already implemented in Pokemon Fire Red. (CFRU Expansion specificaally)

Overworld encounters are nothing but NPC scripts with wild battle and hide sprite commands

That's interesting. The way those Overworld mons behave are different from NPC scripts as if you make contact with it, it will trigger the wild event but for NPC, you have to talk to it to trigger or maybe I'm missing out something here
