Ow, don't stab me. D:

When I was way younger I would pretend that I would be okay with them on the way to the office, but when I got there I would throw a fit. Thinking back on it I feel sorry for the nurses, I've always been quite strong for my age. But I'm fine with them now.

I used to be scared of them but I never cried. Now they're ok. Might still sting abit. I don't like the pain of needles anywhere else other than the arm though. Like the roof of the mouth. That killed me.

I used to be as a kid. But now I'm actually looking forwards to my mumps...or is it measles? revaccination.

The worst one I had (this was when I became less afraid of needles) is when I was at the dentest. I had to have some tooth grounded down a bit so she went to freeze my mouth. She stabbed my with the freezing needle 6 different places in the mouth. She then did the grinding thing, which caused me to cringe since it was one of the worst feelings I've EVER had., and she asked if I could feel it. (I hate when they ask you yes or no questions with all of this crap in your mouth) so I nodded. She then stapped me 8 more times in the gums with the freezing needle. It felt pretty horrible. Oh and I could still feel the grinding thing a little after but I sucked it up and took it like a man.

Oh sure. Yeah, when I was 5.

I don't see the hurt of needles except you have that numb feeling you get wherever it was put in. I actually know someone who got a shot...in the eye.

Ever since my doctor messed up drawing my blood (I passed out) I've been terrified of doctor's needles. No other needles though.
Haha, I forgot about drawing blood. I can't watch that happen or I get light headed. :| It's the only thing about needles that makes me squeamish. I'm usually fine with it though.

I'm quite lucky in that I never had a BCG injection (for tuberculosis), which a few years ago was mandatory for everyone, and it was supposed to be a veeeeerrry nasty long painful injection.
That's actually quite false. The injection itself is just like any other injection you'll have. It doesn't hurt any more than other injections, you just get left with a numb aching feeling in your arm about half an hour later that lasts for a few hours.

The claim the the actual injection is very painful is just a myth.

EDIT: Forgot to answer the question.

I'm not afraid of needles at all. I don't find them particularly painful and, if you keep your eye off the needle and your mind on something else, you really don't even notice it. It just feels like a little scratch, that's about it.

The actual needles themselves aren't to be feared, just the general incompetence of some of the nurses that do them.

My exact reaction upon having an embroidery needle stuck into the side of my finger while cleaning out a drawer:

*feels pain, blinks for a moment*
*exasperated sigh*
*slowly raises hand out of drawer*
*stares at needle*
... bad needle. >:O
*throws needle away*

No, I don't particularly like them. Shots and little things like the embroidery needle I can handle, but if they're too big I just hate them. When I broke my arm, they stuck this huge one right into where I broke it. I could feel it scraping against my bone. :S

And when I was diagnosed with inactive tuberculosis, I had to get blood tests like every two months or so. I didn't like that either.

thats the only thing I'm scared of. I'm diagnost with Vaccophobia. The ones that hurt the most is when you get your blood drawn
