Anime/Manga Owarimonogatari

Nah, it's the same. Monogatari doesn't really change in terms art. Or direction, really. Shaft's pretty consistent with it.

wow thanks for that it will be first on my list tomorrow when i have some free time i loved bakemongatari like alittle too much but it is awesome and the music was always catchy whats that like if you dont mind answering or anyone one here as i would really appreciate :)

How can you say that?!
It was plainly obvious that SHAFT updated PowerPoint in Monogatari 2!

That was super funny so art style seems to be improved that makes me happy so its better in some regards. Does it really matter what order i watch the series in relevance to the manga? Kinda asking alot of questions but its because im so far behind and really happy others love this series to.

Official Sources say that they actually used Excel, believe it or not.

Yes and no. Well, first, I should point out that the anime isn't based off of a manga, it's based off of a Light Novel. The manga (that I didn't know existed) is also based off of the Light Novel.

But there are technically two orders that you could watch the show in: release order and chronological order. Most people watch in release order- that being the order in which they came out- because other than being what was likely intended by the studio, it's relatively easy to follow since you just need to know when it was released. Chronological order works, too, and won't spoil the release order- well, it does, but the release order does the same to it.

Now if you don't want to start with any specific order and just jump in, you can, sure, but there are specific ones you shouldn't watch straight off. Namely, Monogatari Second Season, Hanamonogatari, and Tsukimonogatari. Any of the others are fair game, really, (though I suspect Owari won't be in the coming episodes).

My bad kinda group visual novels, manga and light novel in same category. wow so either way it doesn't real matter how i watch. Its really welcoming the amount of information iv already received as at first i was alittle worried as it seems so many people here have more knowledge of the series and books. Thank you and cant wait to contribute more to the discussions :)

Spoiler:

Aaaah Owarimonogatari is really good! When I take a break it's always hard for me to keep watching but then it just sucks me back in, my favourite arc this season was easily Sodachi Riddle because I really enjoyed seeing Araragi and Ougi's interactions, and Sodachi was a nice new character too.

I wonder how the season is going to end. Can't wait until Kizumonogatari is out ^-^.

12 (END)

This left me with more questions than answers.
Spoiler:

ANSWERS, I DEMAND THEM

They're some of the lowest among the other Monogatari series, actually. Monogatari series in general has been seen to sell well above 30K+ per volume. Bakemonogatari even reached heights of 70-80K per volume if I'm not mistaken.

20K is amazing, definitely. But I personally feel that it corresponds quite a bit with the quality of content at offer here. Owarimongatari, in my opinion, is the weakest monogatari so far. First arc is just okay while the second arc, despite having my bae Shinobu + Kanbaru and generally having good content, feels stretched out. I definitely enjoyed this the least out of all monogatari out there.

I'd even go as far as to call this an average anime. Worst gatari and average anime overall. I wait for the day I get anything from the series that reaches the heights that Season Second managed to reach for me. My hopes lie with Kizumonogatari and the future releases that hopefully tell us about the mystery behind Ougi.

Ougi, to be honest, was the single biggest reason for watching Owarimongatari. She was excellent throughout. Too bad her screen-time was somewhat limited. She still remains a very interesting character due to the mystery surrounding her.

Well, even if it has decreased compared with previous seasons this is the first week, plus 20.000 copies for a non-shounen anime with more than five TV seasons is kinda ok. Not mentioning the upcoming movie, in which I have high expectations.

Apart from that, I agree with deroziosama in most of it. Not sure if the weakest, but I have my doubts about how the screentime was managed at some points. I guess it might make more sense after the whole "final season"is completed. Or that's what I hope.
